All of this was part of my larger plan. We went back to the barracks at the end and rested up. That was pretty much all we wanted to do at that point. The next day we all went to the bathhouse. It was a special party that totally reserved the facility. When we got there, we were told by the owners that it was a special day. They had hired a pair of special guests to enhance the experience. It sounded good until I realized who they were talking about. It was the greater water elemental and the greater fire elemental. They looked shocked to see us as well. At least it wasn't a set up. Getting trapped here would be bad. Still, it was pretty upsetting to have them glare daggers at me while I washed up. Some of them noticed and asked what the deal was. I shrugged and said "We had a run in with them earlier. We just don't see eye to eye on a lot of things." The greater fire elemental scoffed at me. "That is just a coward's way of explaining it!" he yelled. The greater water elemental took great pains to describe the conflict between us in detail. The clerics and paladins did not like what they heard.
Reputation destruction was a powerful tactic. The cleric we initially met looked at me and said "You can't just enslave other creatures just because you can." "Well, I can do it because of the spell that I casted. I do not oppress any of the companions I directly own. Doing that would be really bad for me in the long run. In fact, I raise their standard of living." I said firmly. The paladin looked over at Kyle and Myles. "Do you guys want to go back to your home?" she asked them. They were fidgety. I could not say anything. I did not want others to say I intimidated them. "Well... we all long to go back to our home planes. That's true." Myles said. Kyle nodded his head. "I do too. I still think Wraxix is a very good master! He never hits us. He gave us authority in his strip club. He let us own property we conquered." Myles agreed. "That is way more than members of the servant caste would be able to achieve. Wraxix told us to study the blade and he encouraged us to mediate on our elements too. We advanced only because of his patronages." he added. At least I was getting some praises over here.
It was something that I was grateful for. "Your master is waiting for you in the Elemental Plane of Air. We want to go home too. That can't happen until we bring you back to your homes." the greater water elemental said. "I want some compensation for making me wait. Not only have I needed to be here, my honor was sullied by you. I will be the one to bring you in. That is the only just thing to do." the greater fire elemental added. I did not believe that. I was not sympathetic to that. They fought us and lost badly. They could leave. They chose not to leave because they were both in the warrior caste. It would be shameful to admit defeat here. "I'm keeping Kyle and Myles. It was a spell. They made requests of me for service. My ability to keep them hinged of fulfilling their desires. I did. Therefore, before you could even think to take them, I would need compensation." I said. They were upset. I did not care. Since we did not want to come to blows, they separated us as we soaked in the water. The greater water elemental ensured water quality. The greater fire elemental heated it perfectly.
