Karyn knowing everything, changed everything and I was nervous about leaving the house just in case she got the bright idea of breaking in and taking the stone. I couldn't make a wish myself with Sarah around, nor could I take it with me. The last thing I needed was for Sarah to discover the stone. While Sarah was being friendly towards me, she was still Sarah McMillan. I knew she was nice only because she was encouraging the next generation. If I was older, I'd be a rival. If I was 'inferior', she would be back to her normal self.
"How does someone turn into Karyn?" I mused aloud. Maybe I could get some information out of Sarah, and more importantly, slowly age myself back up.
"I try not to think about her. Why are you bringing that up?" Sarah said, her voice full of disgust.
"I don't want to end up like her." Which was true; the older me showed signs of ditziness. My worst fear was being turned into some kind of bimbo. My second worst fear was being turned into a very girly little girl., then growing up to be that bimbo
Sarah snickered. "I don't think that is going to happen."
"Why not?"
"Trust I know. What do you want to do, Anna? I'm sure Ms Donaldson wouldn't mind if I took you somewhere"
My eyes went wide, stunned. From the way Sarah said it, 'Ms Donaldson' could had only been Zoe, meaning she underwent a name change. Which meant I underwent a name change. Which meant i had gone deeper into my new Anna life without knowing. "I'd better do my homework" I said in a small voice. Plus it gave me a chance to see my school id card.
"Really?" Sarah said scornfully.
I ignored her and fished out my id card. "Joanna Amber Donaldson. St Marys" I read aloud, somehow hiding my horror. "Girls school. I can't manipulate someone into doing it for me. So unless you want to do my math homework for me, I'm stuck at this stupid table."
Sarah nodded approvingly. "Must be tough without boys to manipulate."
"Who do you use?" I asked, knowing exactly who.
"Whichever dumb guy that crosses me. If flirting doesn't work, my boyfriend Biff does. He might be stupid, but he gets results."
"Why are you with him, if you think he's stupid? Don't you deserve someone better?" I asked.
Sarah smirked, then winked at me. "Nice try, Annie. I do deserve better though. Why did you look so shocked when I mentioned your mom?"
"Growing up is hard" I said, a half truth the best counter. I couldn't say the full truth. In hindsight, I should have known. Linda was now my aunt, so of course it meant I was no longer 'Gibson', but it took a day for it to change. I was worried about what other unpleasant surprises was waiting for me. I was already losing my education.
"Yeah" Sarah said almost wishfully. "Lets see your homework, then. A cheerleader needs good grades...."
"I guess" I said. We must had been doing it for thirty minutes when i heard the door open, and immediately, I thought it must had been Karyn. Instead, it was Zoe and she was mad.
"Joanna Amber Donaldson! Did you have anything to do with this!?" Zoe raged as she appeared into view. I saw Zoe's worst fear was starting to come true, since she was now in her late twenties or even in her early thirties. Zoe's body had also changed to suit her new age, giving her a true curvier 'mom' body. She was clearly aware of it, even if Sarah was not, and she was infuriated. She was also fully aware of her name change too, thanks to her rage against me.
"Mom?" I squeaked.
