One the plane landed they were taken to their hotel in a private limo, which even Zoe had to admit felt great. They were dropped off at the main entrance and they headed inside to check in. The building was huge, all gold and white marble, and the reception desk stretched across the far wall of the foyer.
“How can I help?” The receptionist beamed.
“Uh, booking under the name Gibson” Linda said, tearing her eyes away from the opulence around them. The receptionist typed something in her her keyboard then broken into a big smile.
“Got you here, staying for a week in the penthouse. Contest winners. Congratulations” she said happily. She passed Linda two keycards just as another smartly dressed woman appeared behind them.
“Mrs Gibson?” She said, “I’m Sierra, the chief concierge” she added offering her hand which Linda shook.
“Nice to meet you” she said, “this is my daughter Zoe” she added gesturing to Zoe who was stood trying to maintain her image of disinterest while pure excitement was running through her.
“Pleasure” Sierra nodded, “I’m afraid I have a little bit of bad news for you” she added a little sheepishly.
“Knew this was too good to be true” Zoe muttered under her breath.
“What is it?” Linda asked hesitantly.
“Unfortunately our porters have just returned from the airport and have informed me that your luggage was missed when loading the aircraft, they are working with the airline to make sure we can get it back to you in the next day or so” Sierra replied.
“So we’re stuck with what we have on!?” Zoe exclaimed, gesturing at her gothic attire, the black outfit not the best choice for the Greek heat.
“Of course not” Sierra smiled, “rest assured the penthouse comes with a fully stocked closet to meet all our guests needs. Feel free to use the outfits in there until your belongings arrive.” She said.
“Fully stocked closet?” Linda asked a bit bemused, “what for?”
“Here at the Eris, we find that our clients occasionally get invited to events or parties that they’re not prepared for, so to save them time and money they can choose from our wide selection. You’d be surprised at what we have” sierra replied with a wink, “now, shall I show you to your room?”
