"I think I would," said Jon. "I've only been female for, like, half an hour, and I still feel like a guy. I mean, I don't find you attractive -- no offense."
"None taken." Max chuckled. "Come on -- my computer's up in my bedroom."
As the two of them walked upstairs, Jon thought to ask, "Hey, what are you doing here in town anyway?"
"It's my spring break," said Max. "I was planning on bringing my girlfriend home, but we broke up a couple weeks ago, and I had a nonrefundable plane ticket, so I'm here and not doing a hell of a lot."
"Ah," said Jon. As they climbed the stairs, she looked at the family photos hanging on the wall, which showed that Karyn's mother was now blonde and more well-endowed in the chest area than she had been. Jon figured she and Max had been within the rock's range when Karyn made her wish, and so the rock's magic felt it necessary to alter their genetics to match the new Karyn.
