"You aren't some k-pop fangirl, Val," her producer said. "You can't follow this group to every city they go to. It is a shame that you couldn't finish your plans with them in Korea, but I'm not sure there is enough of a story for you in following them to America."
"I've formed a real rapport with Holli...and that gets me access in ways others can't. And this is their first American concert. There may be opportunities to this in front of an American audience as well," Val said.
"That might be worth considering...you said you wanted to go after larger opportunities. Is this the best move for your career? You could end up known only for interviewing Korean pop stars."
Val froze. Before...she was so used to others deciding what was best for her career...for her in general. The idea she would get to choose gave her pause. But..what did she want? "I think there is a story there, but...you are right as well...I will talk to their manager and see what the opportunity might be...before I make a decision."
