The two women walked into the room and saw G-Bear standing in the center of the room with Young-Mi and Sook-Joo standing off to the left. Holli sort of remembered reading up on G-Bear but that was before the changes that she and Val had gone through. For some reason, it no longer seemed like research that she had done but just facts that she had known for a long time.
G-Bear had been an idol himself many years ago and had used his hard-earned fame to gain influence and then power. He had gained so much influence that he now looked after a number of the younger groups like Peace Blossom. The girls had come to know over the time that he had been their manager and that he was a hard but fair taskmaster.
Today he had a stern look on his face. He was wearing a sharp black business suit which made him look more severe than normal. Holli was sure that he had some bad news to deliver to the band. The look on his face that Holli had seen when he had given them bad news in the past. No wait that wasn’t right, was it? She had never met him before this trip so how did she even know that? She thought to herself.
This had to be something to do with Val no wait that wasn't her name either. That was something to work out later right now she had to find out what G-Bear wanted. She could speak to the Oegug-in later.
“Now girls, I have some news for you. After last night’s concert, I heard from our American backers. ” G-Bear said.
“What did they say Oppa?” Mi-Ok asked him.
“We have been trying to get into the American market and were looking for the right time. And you will be playing the State Farm Arena in Atlanta,” G-Bear told the four young women standing in front of him. "We should have had much more time to prepare...but this opportunity was too good to not accept."
“That’s great Oppa we will be ready in time,” Mi-Ok said as she and the other members of Peace Blossom including Holli nodded their heads in agreement.
Holli didn’t know why she was nodding her head in time with her bandmates it just seemed the right thing to do.
“I know you will be Yeodongsaeng. You must all be packed and ready to go after the show at the KSPO Dome tomorrow night. We will leave for the airport after the show. It is a long flight almost fifteen hours from what I remember. You will be able to rest after the flight and then start to prepare for the concert.” G-Bear told them.
“Thank you, Oppa.” All four young women said as G-Bear turned to leave the room.
“I know that this does not give you much time but this is an important concert. You must impress your audience, it will help you get to the next level of success.” G-Bear said to them as he left the room.
“Oppa has given us a big opportunity, I think that we should pack things today to make it easier tomorrow,” Mi-Ok told the others.
“Yes, Eonni.” The others once again including Holli said.
Mi-Ok turned towards Holli and said “Yeodongsaeng I know you have become friendly with the Oegug-in so why don’t you find her and say goodbye for us to her as we will be very busy tomorrow?"
“Thank you Eonni,” Holli said as she went to find Val hoping that they would be a way to return to their old lives before Peace Blossom left Korea.
