“Thank you Holli. Now we have extended our exchange,” Gi said with a smile on her face.
“That’s great Val. I suppose we had better do some sort of interview before the boys take me away again. They always seem to do that when I am having fun.” Holli said.
Gi, now Val paused, realizing something had just happened. Gi wouldn't be an acceptable name for her anymore. Val seemed...right somehow. Probably because it was now her name. She thought about what Holli had said...it sounded like she'd been through that many times before. She had several times even in the last day, but it sounded like more than that. "We can do that," she agreed. "This is my first time interviewing anyone...I hope I will do well," Val commented, trying to cement the illusion in Holli's head that she was doing this for her.
Val's first questions to Holli were a little rocky. She had no issue speaking to the camera, she had gotten Holli's skills in speaking but she wasn't quite used to asking the right questions. She thought she covered it well though.
After the interview was over, Holli looked at her. "I can stay when you interview the others."
"That would be very helpful," Val said. "You put them at ease, I see."
A few minutes later, Val just sat there smiling. After walking Sook-Joo to the room door, Holli turned around and walked back toward her. Val was having trouble interpreting what Holli and Sook-Joo said to each other. She wasn't exactly fluent anymore. If they spoke slowly, she could pick up some words here and there. It might be about rehearsal.
“Val, can I ask you a question?” Holli asked as she got to the table. She sat down opposite her again.
“Of course, you can Holli. I owe you for your help today. Val said winking at her as if Holli was a child she was indulging with thinking she had helped make dinner when all she had done was stood there watching.
One side effect of the two being linked was, Korean or not...for the time being, Val and Holli would understand each other perfectly. “I know how strange this is going to sound considering everything. But, have you noticed that I look a bit different?" She asked.
"People see you as a Korean singer...so to everyone, you look like a Korean singer," Val commented. "Does that not make sense?"
"You mean it's an illusion?"
"If that is how you wish to think of it," Val said.
"So it isn't real?" Holli asked.
"Holli Mok, member of Peace Blossom is real to them," Val shrugged. "I told you that we can shape how people are seen."
