Once again, exploring the western quadrant of the continent would have to wait for a better time. For now, we had to get in touch with Water Clan. From their description of the event, they had linked up with Radiation Clan in order to display the coming flower and fruit trees blossoming. Everyone was welcome. It was a major cultural display that would be happening all throughout both regions. Water Clan in particular wanted to invite them down to the beach. They said that the view would be pleasant to look at. I knew the cyborgs did not have a creative bone in their body. They must have heard about it from a human. Replication of art was something they did very well. I was not going to mock them for it. When they were trying to do something nice for humanity in general and the military in particular, the last thing that was needed was some naysaying to get things cancelled. We promised that we would attend the festivities. We would bring all of Sixteenth Notes Clan down there. It could be seen as both a reward for working so hard and as a vacation. They really deserved it all.

Getting there was easy. Dawg and 12-001 had to come along with us. We could not trust them to not kill each other if left alone for that long. I also would not put it past a violent and misanthropic AEP unit like 12-001 to try and meet up with other Conquerors in order to cause trouble. Dawg was down for hanging out with us. We all treated him well and the humans working here were also cordial to him. None were particularly close to him, but there was an office style comradery going around. He helped with the secretarial work. The fact that Water Clan was in the Advocate faction made it even more interesting. 12-001 was not happy that he was going to be going over. I had expected that. I also did not care about his feelings. He was coming with us to the festival, whether he wanted to or not. We would simply beat him into submission and drag him there. Paul and Brett had no qualms about getting rough with him after everything he had done to us. Honestly, he should have been grateful that he was a cool NPC we found interesting to keep. That was the only reason he was still alive.

Visiting Water Clan once again felt great. They were friendly and the view from the beach was amazing. The trees in the parks and on the streets were in bloom as well. I thought it was beautiful. Lots of humans were looking at it in wonder as well. None of them were aware this had been set up by the cyborgs living here. They just liked seeing the pretty nature. Being in a more cyber punk setting, there was not much of nature left to be admired. With the crisis in their oceans, most people had even given up on going to the beach. It was simply too dangerous. That was until Water Clan came online. They restored the ability to see clear water again. It made this region a big tourist attraction. All of it was protected and managed by Water Clan, so they were making nice passive income on top of the weekly massive cash injections we sent to them. With this festival, people would want to come see all the plants and trees they had planted and moved for this occasion. I praised the clan's officers. They had a really great idea and it was paying off. Like I had thought, a human gave it to them.
