Zoe Shepherd sat on the couch with Biff Ferguson. "Thanks for coming over," she said to the boy. "Mom is still feeling under the weather."
"No problem," Biff Ferguson said.
"I'm feeling much better actually," a female voice said. Days earlier, it had been Richard McMillan...a fit middle aged man. He'd changed a lot. For one, the he was now a she, and answered to Rachel. She'd lost half a foot of height and at least fifty pounds. She entered and stood next to Zoe. The resemblance between the two was noticeable, and would likely grow. "What are you two doing?"
"We were going to play that Christian trivia game you got last month," Zoe said. "Why don't you join us?"
"Yeah, Mrs. Shepherd....it's better with three," Biff said. Biff had changed also...no longer quite so muscular...he looked like an average clean-cut young man.
And so she did. If not for recent world changing events, Richard McMillan would have been at a black tie affair with his wife, Zoe would have been partying at the Spiked Pit, and Biff would have been fooling around with the head cheerleader. Instead, the three had a quiet evening and went to bed at a normal hour. After all, they had services in the morning.
Ashleigh Sanders, by comparison, was in the back of a car making out with her date. Not sex...just a bit of fun. At least what she considered fun now. She'd taken to hedonism with gusto and was giving her predecessor a run for her money.
