08-003 finished his food first. He only had 2 eggs and a couple of bacon strips. "It seems Desespero is going to marry 08-001." he said, looking at us. That was news to me. "Who decided that?" I asked. 08-001 scoffed. "He is a half breed and way below my station. However, I can see some potential in him. For the sake of an alliance between our clans, he is acceptable." he said. He was trying to put Zetsubō and Desespero down. That was not going to happen on my watch. "I don't know about all of this. It took you several tries to make a PEA memory chip. It seems that you might be the faulty one here." 08-001 gave me a nasty glare. I just ignored him. I continued, saying "My sons have completed 18 very clandestine missions. That puts the both of them in the top echelons of PEA units." All 3 AEP units looked at them again. This was was not something they had expected. As AEP units of a major clan, they all knew of the requirements for PEA sexual upgrades. "They're hybrids. I could have them married to high ranking soldiers or corpos and form strong bonds that way." I finished.
As far a plan went, there was nothing wrong with it. Zetsubō and Desespero would be a great match for any woman that wanted a strong, capable defender as a partner for life. I knew that whoever married them would be set for life. No harm would ever come to them. The lucky lady would be my daughter-in-law. That would obviously come with benefits. Whatever group she was apart of would be flooded with cash in the form of weekly cash injections from my pocket personally. I could do all that. It would be easy. I was backed by 2 very strong Devils. There was no price that I could not pay them. Even if I ran out of credits, Paul or Brett would just top me up all over again. I simply smiled to myself. The AEP units were starting to see that now. 08-001 demanded to know what it was that I found funny. "You really think that the 3 of you are running the show. This was just the beginning of what our Sixteenth Notes Clan can do and achieve. Using this as a lesson seems hard, but 08-001's ass remembers the pounding it took." I said bluntly. There was no need for a pretense. We dominate it.
Being that they all still had their pride in their bodies and achievements, it made total sense that this was the point they would throw their temper tantrum. As everyone at the table already knew what the only outcome would be should they want to fight me here, there was peace. They did not like being belittled. Especially not by a human like me. For them, being a AEP unit, meant they were the closest to a perfect being that you could get at this point of the game. All AEP units believed it. Advocates used this high status to help humans in a paternalistic sense. Conquerors wanted to lord over humans. I have not had the chance to ask how the Researchers felt about it. As a faction, they might want to interact and find out more about them. It was just my guess though. "Before this goes through at all, I have to talk it over with your father. If I can't, it won't make sense. Just as I am their parent, Jake gave birth to you." I said. The Erosion Clan AEP units looked at each other with a guilty look. It was clear they did not have the permission of their clan. I sighed out loud. "Just call him now." I said.
Calling Jake and the other officers of Erosion Clan would end this excursion. None of them wanted that. 08-001 hurriedly slammed his hands on the table and said "I am not going to waste the time of our treasurer. You might be a lazy officer, but Erosion Clan is extremely busy. Are you really going to allow an alliance with a major clan slip by you!? Take it already." That was a really good bluff. It did not matter. "Sorry. Being super strong allows me to be a bit relaxed. Those that are weak need to struggle in a desperate way." I teased. That made all 3 of them angry. "I need to hear from Jake at some point. Until that happens, we have nothing more to say on this issue." I said to end the discussion. They were flabbergasted. Part of the programming they had as Conquerors made them not want to take any shit from a human. However, there was no way they could get one thing over on me. I was way stronger and better than all of them. I got up and gathered Zetsubō and Desespero. It was time for us to go. I rolled my shoulders. I said "I can't make you leave but Hunter's not allowed to see you."
