Since they had some way to neutralize AEPs, it made no sense to bring them on the mission. In fact, it would be best not to bring any cyborgs with us at all. We really did not know if they were also affected. Paul, Brett, Hunter and I would be more than enough here. In order to make sure that 06-003 was okay and bring him home, we needed to do this. There was a bit of excitement going into this mission. No one else but us on the continent could do this. It was a really big stroke to the ego. We had their location. All we needed to do was go over there and attack the stronghold. I did not want to walk all of the way there. Luckily, we had the services of Dawg. He could teleport me there when the others arrived. He was more than happy to help when we explained the plight of 06-003. As fellow Advocates, they were in the same faction. I did not bring this up to 12-001 for this very reason. If he could, he would do whatever he needed in order to hinder the big mission. They went ahead while I waited in the large clan building. I could at least set some research for the AEP lab while I was gone.

All of us wanted to do some cool things with them. The AEP units were all great and powerful from birth. Upgrades would make them even better. It would be cool to see what they would be capable of. Rolling along with the roll of time, we got the signal from the guys. I hung on Dawg's shoulder and said "Thank you for helping out." He nodded and said "That's fine. Let's get you over there. We need to rescue every Advocate in danger." That was very true. I ruffled the hair on Dawgs head and smiled. It seemed to be the right thing. He puffed out his chest. He seemed to be really docile and ready to help humans. AEPs were supposed to be very aggressive towards humans at first. I guessed that his human companions in the settlement did something really extraordinary to have domesticated him. Either way, we needed to teleport there. Once that happened, I thanked him again. Dawg pat me on the head and said "Call me when you need me to bring you back to the apartment." He then left. There was only a block away before I saw Paul, Brett and Hunter. They were all ready to go.

Brett took the lead on this. We walked to the front door and he knocked on it. We waited a minute for a slit on the door to open up. "Who the fuck are you!?" the doorman asked. Brett smirked and gestured to the rest of us. He said "We're here to buy that AEP unit you have." The thin slit closed up. Another minute passed before the door opened. We were let inside. A woman in a fancy dress smiled at us. "Welcome to the Titron Syndicate. We have a big tech exhibition planned. You are a bit early, but it is nice to have a focus group." she told us. Brett and Paul nodded. Hunter perked up when they heard about the upcoming tech demo. Everything was more pleasant that I thought it would be. I would have to ask Paul or Brett when I could get them alone. It was a brief tour of their compound. It was a pretty nice place. There were rooms where they had weapons, servers and barracks. There were several rooms that we would not be allowed to go inside. It made sense that they would have their secrets. I gathered that Titron Syndicate was one of the moderate anti-cyborg factions out here.
