Reaching further down, he wrenched hard and snapped her neck. Once she was disposed of, it was time to rest. I wandered over to the big terminal. It looked like all 7 of the AEP unit hackers were just asleep. That was not the case. They were using their computing power to try and break past the extremely high defenses of the massive transmission hub. Once they did that, they needed to change the allegiance of hub from Conqueror to Advocate. It was a big team effort. I knew I would not be able to do it. Even with help from Hunter. Both Brett and Major Watts followed behind me. Major Watts waved his hands in front of Dawg and 13-001. "13-001 is a shitty brat, but he looks cute like this." he said with an incredulous tone in his voice. "All of them are kids emotionally. I doubt they can help it." I said. Brett nodded his head. I was looking over Parker, Kyan, Chase, Rebecca and Hannah. I made sure that they were not hit by any stray bullets. They looked fine to me. All of them had their chest panels open now. It was from there they plugged into the transmission hub using a thin black wire.

Jolting awake, they all looked around frantically. A split second later, we were plunged into pitch black darkness. The space was then lit with pulsating, calming blue light that made me feel no less unsettled. I wanted to get out of here. All 7 of them were on shaky feet and collapsed as they tried to stand. It seemed that they were totally tapped out on energy. Major Watts sucked his teeth. "Why the hell is the transmission hub still on?" he asked. "We can't shut it down, sir. It was hard enough to change it to align with the Advocates. If we went any further than that, we might have...." Dawg trailed off. They would have died. Void Clan had already explained this to him. "Did you want us to fucking die, you bastard!?" 13-001 demanded. He was there when they explained it to us all. He tried to get up and confront him, but the cyborg simply could not. Major Watts pulled his handgun on him. He just pressed it hard at 13-001's temple. "You're a piece of shit little kid. Why the fuck should we let you get out of here? I know for sure we don't need cyborgs that can teleport into my headquarters."

Obviously, all the others were scared with what was going on. Even the foul mouthed 13-001 looked shocked. "Wh- Huh?!?! B-b-but I'm an Advocate. I'm here to protect humans like you. What the fuck is going on!?" I looked at the major. "I don't really care what you do with 13-001 personally. But I will remind you of the deal. After this, we're out of here. Parker, Kyan, Chase, Rebecca and Hannah are all part of Sixteenth Notes Clan. We told you that we were not going to be sacrificing any of us. If you kill both 13-001 and Dawg, they'll just replace them and hate you." He pointed it right at my forehead. I just looked at him. "You don't get it do you? These are dangerous cyborgs. Once we get the fuck out of here, we're going to glass that shithole." I tilted my head. "Listen. I like you. I think you're cool. If you try to betray my clan, you're going to die here. Let my AEPs go." I said. He just looked at me and then Brett. Brett had his arms crossed. Major Watts sighed and then put his guns away. "It's not like I can compete with literal fucking magic, can I!?" He spat it with venom. A wise choice.
