I hoped that he could put that to the side for now. We had a mission for the military to complete. Besides, there was nothing that either of us could do as high school boys to stop his aunt getting married to this man. We could go crazy, but that would only destroy our lives. I told Brett about the 5 AEP units we were going to bring with us. It was okay with him. Parker, Kyan, Chase, Rebecca and Hannah were there to follow us out to the van. They got in while Brett to the driver's seat. I was going to follow all of them from behind. Once we got there, we had to let in. 13-001 and 13-002 were not happy to see me. Parker, Kyan, Chase, Rebecca and Hannah were willing to play with them so they got over it fast. As super powerful beings, they did not have any playmates. It probably felt nice to cut loose every once in a while. While they were doing that, we were allowed to go to Void Clan's clan building. It was occupied by the military, so soldiers were constantly going in and out. Void Clan were obviously not happy with this. There was little that they could do. Fighting them was off of the table.

Realistically, they were going to accept this because they were an Advocate faction clan. They would not strike out at the government as long as they did not do anything stupid like try to deactivate the transmission hubs of their faction or prevent them from summoning their Progenitors to the continent. Those objectives superseded their desire to help humanity. I really hoped that that the military did not try anything stupid like that. If they ever did, I just hoped that it was not Major Watts that did it when it happened. We had the contract on the eastern quadrant. If it went to shit because the Advocates turned on us, that was fine in any other quadrant. We could ignore all them. I did not have to go to the different quadrants for them if I did not want to. It did make me side eye the supervising officer. The soldiers looked really nervous with a man like the major around. He would look at them for a second and let them go about their mission. When Major Watts saw us, he looked annoyed. "How long does it take to put a man in the ground!?" he demanded. I told him we all were getting ready.

The cause for his annoyance was legitimate. He had allowed me and Hunter to go there, but it did not negate the fact I also used time to help the PEA units. Brett was off doing his own things. There was a new AEP unit from the Void Clan settlement. I was told that the standard was to have 3 on them at any time because it took 3 to flip a transmission hub. A lot of time had passed for them since the first batch were born at those locations. This one looked a lot different to the other 2. I was told that it was the influence of being occupied by soldiers. Apparently, 13-003 latched onto a couple of them and took on parts of them for their own appearance. Major Watts and I had no real opinion on that. As long as the soldiers and 13-003 could do their jobs, it was totally fine. He also had a different speaking pattern as a result of being close to soldiers as opposed to the criminals that the others were around. He spoke like a soldier on duty. 13-003 would salute the soldiers when they passed by him sometimes to play with them. Soldiers in here would play along some of the time. That was cute.
