Casually getting closer to 15 completed missions would be good for them. It would be good for Clan Edge too. Unfortunately, they had become a vassal of Wind Clan. If it was up to me, they would still be independent. Ramon and Mateo were pressured by the cyborgs to bend their knee when Wind Clan came to them. Honestly, having a major clan come to them to ask was a major prestige boost. There were plenty of PEA units in the region, but none would be so advanced and ahead. Being the best had its perks. The 2 from Clan Edge would be the most respected and I bet Wind Clan would be begging to use their skills. It would be up to the human leaders though. It was only the officers of Clan Edge that could directly assign them tasks. Now that they were vassals, Wind Clan could "request" Clan Edge to send Wayne and Peter on a specific task of importance. It was a "request" in the same way a robber asked you to "donate" your things to their cause. There was hell to pay if you refused. All of the cyborgs would get them to agree even if Ramon and Mateo did want to refuse them.
For the time being, the main focus for Brett and I needed to be on the elimination of Cold Clan. Rebecca and Hannah both came up to me. They were adamant that they come with me on this mission. I was the one that helped with their modeling. This made them a bit warmer to me than the other AEPs. Parker, Kyan and Chase liked me because I picked them to go to Void Clan. Rebecca and Hannah were going to come along. When Parker, Kyan and Chase came to me, they were annoyed. They also wanted to come on the mission. That was fine with me. 13-001 was the one that could teleport us. 13-002 did not need to be there. There was always time for them to go play over there and increase relations between us. Besides, taking more of them would be good because it would be easier to hack into the transmission hub. Keeping both Rebecca and Hannah on side was also a nice thing. I did not want them to get discouraged and start getting into trouble. When AEP units got too rowdy, they could derp themselves in trouble. That was how we captured 4 from Heat and Cold Clans.
More often than not, they needed handlers to go out with them. It seemed they were usually so powerful they could go in and do the job without getting caught. When all beings were beneath you it did not matter. If you were that strong, there was not much that could stand in your way. That was until they came over to us. We were strong enough that they could not bowl us over. Once that happened, we could just exploit their childish natures. Just a simple trick would be able to completely throw them off their games. The 5 of the AEP units were going to get in the van with Brett when he got back to the clan building. When that happened, we would make the journey there together. Parker, Kyan, Chase, Rebecca and Hannah were all ready to go. Brett sure took his sweet time to log on. Once he go down to the clan building, he was looking really irritated. I just looked at him and asked what was wrong with him. He snapped his focus to me. "My aunt is getting married to some ugly bastard and I have to be their ring bearer." he spat. I just blinked and nodded my head. He had his own battles.
