“That should just about do it.” Jon thought sitting his pen down on his desk. In front of him on a piece of paper was a carefully worded set of bullet points that he had written out. “If this works, then 40 year old me is getting an amazing Christmas present. And if it doesn’t, at least I won’t have the burden on the wishing stone on my mind anymore...” Jon glanced over at the wishing stone that sat innocently on the corner of his desk. “One last read through.” Jon mumbled and turned his attention back to the paper and began to reread over the bullet points.

The wishing stone will be safely hidden inside a small skull statue that Jon’s grand father gifted to him. Jon will protect the skull statute and will keep possession of the statue until the wishing stone reappears.

The wishing stone will remain hidden in the statue until Christmas 2023 when it will reappear in a Christmas gift from Jon to himself.

When the wishing stone disappears, Jon will forget about the wishing stone and all of the wishes made with it until he once again lays eyes on the stone. At which time his memories will be restored.

“Okay...” Jon picked up the wishing stone. “Let’s do this.” Jon fiddled with the stone as he worked up the courage to make his wish. “Just do it!” Jon grumbled. “Okay here goes nothing. I wish that the bullets on this paper will become true.” Jon sat the stone down and stared at the paper. “Come on... Come on..” Nothing seemed to be happening, and then suddenly the paper was gone. Jon blinked a couple of times. “What am I doing?” Jon looked over at his clock. “Why am I up this early?” Confused, Jon got up and walked back over to his bed. Looking over his shoulder at his desk Jon briefly questioned what he had been doing at his desk, but then shrugged it off and climbed back into bed.
