Since they were using chips, a frequency was emitted that made the cyborg members upset and not want to leave the studio. Humans were not affected by this at all. My civil disobedience was not going to stop. Work went on as usual. The humans that worked here have no such weaknesses. They asked why the yellow tape was put up everyday, but they were getting stonewalled by the police. None of them answered any questions. This was going on too much for the regular townsfolk to handle. They wanted to know why the mayor was not helping them from the cyborg menace on their streets. Even the unaligned PEP units in town wanted to know why Magnetic Clan was punishing the town. Eventually, they needed to resolve the situation. 12-001 decided to do something. He appeared about lunchtime and entered the lobby. I was going to go out with Hunter to a burger joint he liked. It was then that he saw us. I did my best to suppress a groan as The Magnetic Clan AEP unit approached us. This was not something I wanted to deal with. 12-001 smirked at us. Rolling my eyes, we left.
After a few minutes of waiting, he began killing humans in the studio. These humans were just staff and visitors. We had been down at the burger joint at that point. Paul and Brett were both offline at the time. Once again, a squad of human cops came down to respond to the threat of the AEP unit. They were murdered with their own lead bullets. By the time we had finished up with lunch and returned, the damage had been done. 12-001 was gone and there were dozens dead. The entire Thumpers band was killed. That was it. It was time to take the fight to them. I had to wait for Brett and Paul to get back. It was time to get rid of these pests. Like clockwork, more military goons came in to establish order. There were a ton of funerals that we had to attend. It was our building that was attacked. As employers and friends to many of the now deceased, we need to be there. Like it or not, we had become pillars of the community in both positive and negative ways. When a new commando came to oversee the occupations, we knew that enough was enough. Paul, Brett and Hunter agreed with me.
Her name was Lt. Frederica Galleon. She looked like a no nonsense woman. When we went through all the standard routine of giving them the run around, she looked a bit more than pissed. She did not say anything about it though. It was something we needed to vet. If we were going to leak everything, we would have to face the full consequences. There was no point on flipping on Magnetic Clan if they were going to crush the person we chose to rise up against them. The very next day was a 10pm raid on our building. There were 3 fully automatic rifles for every member of our clan. It showed she was not playing around. She really did mean business. We were not at all threatened from them though. I looked over at Paul and Brett. They both gave me the nod. She was our commando. I approached and said "Lt. Galleon, can we talk to you for a bit? I think we can make a good deal." She just beat me in the face with the butt of my gun. It hurt, but I was way above that doing major damage to me. I had too much health. She just raised an eyebrow. "You have 10 minutes. Let's go then."
