Now that the child was born male, Larry was very happy to have a son. It did not look like him at all. We had to convince him that her family had really strong genes. That was not a complete lie. They were so strong that they did not even register Larry's semen as proper genetic material to conceive offspring with. "Maybe the next one will look more like you." I offered. He just pouted. The air elemental pet was also here. He was technically still part of their household. It could not be that long before he also gave birth. I was not wrong. Only 8 days later, he went into labor as we were heading to our second task. I looked at them and said "We'll be penalized for not showing up and completing the mission. You 4 go ahead and do the mission. I'll help the pet give birth now." I then took the air elemental back to the club. I needed to get some crucial paperwork. Once I got them, I picked him up bridal style and carried him to the nearest hotel. He was in way too much pain to call me out for it. Paying for a room was trivial to me. Rolling with the punches, I brought him to the room and set him on his feet.
I asked if he needed someone to help him. It was a male giving birth after all. He just smirked at me. "I am not some mortal that has to suffer birthing pain like a human. I just need a bathtub to help me." I kind of doubted it as he was currently bent over in pain. When I pointed it out, he glared at me. "Shut your mouth, fiend! This agony is due to all the corruption in my body." he snapped. I let it go as he was in so much pain. I guided the air elemental to the big hotel bathroom. There was only a shower. He sighed in relief. "I will become one with the wind. That should reveal the offspring. Pull them out of the bottom and leave me alone." he instructed me. "Is that all you want from me!? You don't need something else!?" The air elemental just waved me off. He still did not allow me to give him a name. Apparently, it was because he still did not believe I was worthy of him. He could try to preserve his wounded pride all he wanted. He was the one in the shower in abject agony. He attempted to disperse his body throughout his element. Like he had said, the corruption hindered him. He screamed in pain.
There were 2 children in the shower when the former air elemental warrior phased away. I watched his body flicker back and forth. For a moment, it looked like he was a boy going to fail and hurt himself. Eventually, he was able to actually do it. I scooped the children out and spanked them to make them cry. Both were boys. I took them to the bed and laid them down. Calming them down took some time. The air elemental solidified on the other side of the bed from me. He was gasping and heaving on his knees. I just looked at him. It had to have been really painful for him. There was nothing that I could do to help him. Even if I could, he would never accept it. It lasted for half an hour. It looked like he was doing a bit better after he got over it though. The children themselves were a large source of the corruption in his body. There was clearly some left inside. I knew what I could do for the air elemental pet. I went to the hospital and got another oxygen tank. I quickly went back to the air elemental and the children to check on them. He was resting up. I got him to huff oxygen and purify himself.
