Due to the unfortunate circumstances, I was not able to help Carlo, Marco or Rocco with their tasks. Some of our whores got ill. The trio was able to respond to all those calls in my stead. That was 3 missions. It was above their station as 2 star doctors. That meant the job lasted longer and they had a lower chance of success. I was not going to stop them. 2 of the cases failed. I had to save those whores from death. The had managed to save one. It was the one with the middling amount of care of the 3 cases. That was impressive. There were also other things that needed attention. Nicolò got injured by one of the assassins he was hunting. He refused Marco's assistance with his wounds. The same with Bernando and Araldo. I could not help much there. They were still homophobic. I reminded them to treat the boys as their nephews as they were all still my kids. Even reminding them worked halfway. Rocco got to help as long as Carlo was also there. "To keep things honest" was how they put it. They had Marco go on a small beer run instead. It was a drug run in Bernando's case.
Once again, I felt it was only fair that I give them another task to do since I had been gone so long. I assigned each of them with the task to get their revenge of Angelo and Paolo. If they could beat them both up, it would be a single mission from me. Carlo was at 9 missions complete and Rocco was at 10. He had qualifies to become a made man. The Nesta Family was going to have a second generation. It was always my plan to advance them together. Marco was still down at 6. The trio ganged up to look for their targets. I warned Angelo and Paolo before hand. I told them they could have no weapons during the fight or I would personally come after them. Now that it was a 3 on 2 fight, the boys won. Ronan was not happy, but I knew he would get over it. I knew that both of them were being used by their green eyed father for bribes and advertising his brothel. They were coming up on their 10th mission as well. Marco got a weird request. Rosario wanted to be escorted to the park. That was a place prostitutes did their business. He wanted to pimp Marco out there. Marco ran away from him.
He did the right thing. That was something I made very clear to both of them. Rosario had the nerve to pout at me. "But it would have made money!" he tried to argue. As it was a serious thing they tried to pull, I had to be really serious too. "Your safety is worth way more money than you could have made out there." I said. It was all true, although I was much more concerned with Marco's life than Rosario's. Marco could not get credit for that mission. It was sad. That was fine with me. Rosario looked at me and asked for a job. Since it was Rosario asking, I could give the 2 of them a job. "Of course. I need you 2 to deliver something to Nicolò." I said. That made them get excited. I wrote wrote a letter to him. I told him to call me when he got the letter to confirm the job was done. I also asked him to give them a real job as well. That would be 2 missions that they could tally up. I gave it to Rosario and sent them on their way. I got the call from Nicolò 2 hours later. It did not take 2 hours to get there, but it was fine. Nicolò told me that he wanted them to intimidate a law official that he had beef with.
