Finding the other 2 were tricky. The Blue Codex told me that they were in town, but I could not pinpoint their current location due to the fog of war. They could be lurking anywhere. I had to come clean about what was going on here. It was only fair. They were not too happy with me. Even Romeo was miffed. He was right beside me, but I never clued him in on who he was, even when Acario confirmed it to me. I called Nicolò and told him everything. It was important that he know. They might also target him as he is my friend and also a lieutenant. He just laughed. "We really can't leave you alone, can we?" he joked. I smirked and gave him the names. "Don't worry. We'll be on the look out for these assassins." he promised. At least I could always count on back up from my friends. It was getting late in the evening when Bernardo called me. He picked Dante up from school and had him stay at the hotel with him. I did not want him home alone right now. That was good. I thanked Bernardo before hanging up the phone. When one of the assassins came inside the headquarters, I snapped. I shot him.

My goons and I tortured him for information. He thought I was stupid. The Blue Codex already told me he was working for the opposition. He tried lying saying he was a free agent. After an hour, he broke and told everyone the truth. I needed to know where the other assassin in town was. He was in the hotel that Acario opened up. That was unfortunate. I still had that agreement. I could not attack his rackets unless he attacked one of mine first. That was a bummer. I gave my goons another task: kill him and hide the body. They went to work right away. I saw the assassin die. When they returned in the morning, I did not ask them where the body was. That was all for the best. Now that I knew where the other assassin was, I told Nicolò. He had also hired an assassin for the war. He had just been itching to use his services. We would just have to see who would be able to kill the other first. All of my hopes were on Nicolò's guy. It took 3 days to eliminate the target. Our assassin was immediately killed by 2 more that arrived. This was a bloody affair. We were in a warzone. I wanted to avoid all this.

Using our high level of synergy to coordinate, Nicolo and I finally ended the threat of Patrick's protégée. It had taken weeks. There were still some out there in the world. I was lucky. They had just been contracted to other factions at the time. Due to that, they could not find the time to come to this town and try to kill me. My children were kept in the loop on this one because I needed them to be careful I did not want them to be targeted in order to get back at me. I called Acario soon after. "Finally got rid of all Patrick's trainees in town. I'll admit it was much tougher than I thought at first." He was quiet on the other end of the line. "That you did, boy. That you did." he said. I had heard that the war was winding down. Rackets were traded back and forth. Made men died all over the country. Now it was time to cool down on the war footing. My dove stance was correct in the long run. There was not a single thing to be gained in war with mostly NPCs. "Just felt like calling. Sorry to bother you." I said. Before I could hang up, he grumbled "You know damn well you're not sorry that you're gloating, boy."
