Marco was at 5 missions. He found 3 toys and got Cameron's gun for him. Rocco was there for the assassination and the gun. He also found 3 toys and got the drugs that Bernando requested. That put him at 6 missions. Carlo found the remaining toys. He took the pictures of the librarian for Araldo and got the booze for Nicolò. There were now 5 missions to his name. I made sure that the toys were credited to only 1 boy when Tommy got them. It would not be fair if Rocco could claim 6 all to himself for going with Marco. He would have been nearly done by now. Those were the harder missions. There were some other ones. Ruth and Nadia were girls. Escorting them to where they wanted to go and making sure they came back safe counted as an escort mission. Cameron and his mother thought that it was cute. Ruth's mother thought that it was essential at her age. Tommy and Asella did not need such a service as Nadia had her twin brother Luca and Rosario. However, Marco liked going to the same places as Nadia. It ended up working. Finally, there was the gold loading mission.
Bianca called me angrily the next day. "Hey! It's been months. Are we doing this initiation or what!?" she yelled into my ear. I did not like the tone. I checked her name in the menu. Her loyalty was dangerously low. I had totally forgot that I had promised to promote her to made man. That was a fuckup on my part. I had to act fast. "Fuck. I can't believe it. You ruined the surprise." I said. "What the fuck are you talking about, Martino!?" I winced again. "I was going to call you in 3 hours to come to my house. I can't do nothing with you around!" I said in mock anger. "Oh. Really? Sorry about that." she said. She then hung up. It was then time to call everyone up and told them to drop everything that they were doing. It was an emergency. Nothing was more important than this meeting at my house. I looked over at Romeo. He was doing some paperwork, but he had a smile on his face. Romeo was happy for his wife. Finally I called Daphne. I told her to get all the fancy plates out. We were going to be having a party at the house. She was excited. Romeo and I then went to my house to get it all ready.
The ceremony was quick and Bianca was now a made woman. I was going out to have some fun at the Lazy Kitty when I was sniped from a rooftop. It was right to the chest. Romeo sprung into action and dragged me out of the line of fire. I was a 5 star mob doctor. Healing myself with my medkits and medicine was no problem. Romeo dragged me from the alleyway to the car and tossed me in. We drove to my house and I stayed there for a few days. I could not go out with Carlo, Marco and Rocco because of it. There was nothing to be done about it. I was being targeted. Once those days were over, I was on the lookout for the assassin that tried to take me out. It was not a game. I wanted them dead. That had been a close call. Romeo was 1 save away from being a made man himself. I went to La Familia without telling anyone. I got to see them dance in the studio. They were getting even better at dancing and skating than before. Carlo, Marco and Rocco were happy to see me. Bianca and Bella were happy too. I told them about the attempts on my life. That was to keep them in the loop.
