It was amazing. I was fully entertained. Carlo, Marco and Rocco took the lead. They leaped, skipped and glided on the ice. It was a 30 minute performance. When it was over, Romeo handed me a bouquet of red roses. There were a baker's dozen in the bundle. I gave the boys 3 roses each. They deserved them, but I also told them to share a rose with one of the girls. I also gave Bella and Bianca a pair of roses. "For the lovely ladies that all this would be impossible without." I said as I presented them to their mothers. I waited for the boys to leave so they would not have to listen to me being so sappy. Bianca looked flattered. Bella took the roses gently. "Of course! We did all the work." she said as she held them close to her. "That just means that those roses are even more radiant in your hands, Bella Risi." I responded. A blush finally made its way to her cheeks. "Only a man like you could say something so dumb and have it come out like this." she muttered. I won today. The boys came back and we all made our way to La Familia together. It was a family moment. A big family secret to the world.
The next day, I helped them get ready for school. That was when our fixer had found the thugs that broke into Cameron's apartment. They were still in the long process of moving to somewhere else. This was a job called by the big lieutenant of The Yard district. That was crazy. Square district was where La Familia was located. I had no jurisdiction or property there. That lieutenant just wanted to deal damage to us. There were 5 thugs that did this reckless attack. Once again, Bianca was called to take them all out. The thugs were easy. The lieutenant was a tough nut to crack. He had also taken the fortress strategy here. If this had happened in the Hills or Square, I would not be able to do anything as I had sworn to Acario not to hit that area unless they directly attacked a racket. Cameron's nice apartment in the Yard was fair game apparently. We were going to have to figure out how to get the lieutenant. There was the option of fucking with his speakeasy. I took the thugs that I hired to see what it was all about. They did not have high Security so we all were able to just walk inside the place.
After heckling the host and bartender, we started to trash the place. There was an armed guard on the inside. He tried to shoot us, but he missed. It was a fatal mistake on his part. Combat started. That was when we blasted him to oblivion. Next, we kept making a mess of the place. I got bored and we left. Mission accomplished. It gave the Diamond Butterflies a small tick in the war against them. It was totally inconsequential in the grand scheme of things though. I hi-fived all of the thugs with me. "Lay low and keep out of the Yard for a while. I'll see you guys when it's time for the next gold loading mission." I said. They began to disperse. My house was where I wanted to go. Once I got there, I got undressed and got into my bed. We had finally gotten even. I was beginning to think that things were starting to look up. In the morning, I wondered what I was going to do. Bianca asked me for another business lunch. I accepted as I had nothing better to do. When we got to the restaurant, Bianca looked at me expectantly. "I've been here like you have asked me. I killed a shit ton of people." she opened.
