A big thing that happened was that I was the target of another assassination attempt. Some thugs walked up to me and tried to stab me. I blasted them away as I had my gun on me. I always did. When it was all over, I made it to the headquarters to patch myself up before going on. That was when my phone rang. It was Nicola. He said "It has come down to a big vote. Will we go to war with the Brown Owls or not!?" That was not a minor decision. We had to go to a totally difference province to have our votes counted in person. That meant that Nicolò would be coming with me. I hoped that we did not have to go to war. The Brown Owls were a gang that I did not want to deal with. I made this town a place for us to hang out in. Having some random associates or made men from the enemy gang would make things way less safe for us. If I saw them we would have to fight to the death on sight. There was would be a lot of blood shed then. If possible, I would try to vote this war down. Obviously, we would need a stronger response if we were hit first. That was just how things worked in the mafia life.

We were going to have to go to Gravitt City to catch the train. From there, it was an overnight trip to Isteeli City. That was where our headquarters were. That was where we would make our voices heard and vote for or against the war declaration. We would be travelling with all the other lieutenants of Gravitt. That meant more time to hang out with Nicola. He had already told me it was his intention to vote for the war. We were at odds here, but I respected his opinion. His family was the one who stuck their necks out for me and got me promoted to made man. It would be disgraceful and disloyal to pretend that it meant nothing. Especially when people gave me the cold shoulder because I was bisexual. That took a real amount of courage on the part of Nicola and his father. I certainly have not been a disgrace to their name. I moved to a small town and established something good. We were getting cheap booze, drugs and gold from Askill. The top brass were also getting the dues they were owed on time every time. No one could complain with my performance. It was not the most impressive either.

Getting on the train was easy. We all had our tickets. Nicolò had never ridden a train before. Apparently, my backstory meant that I had never done so either. He was pacing back in forth on the platform in awe. Gawking at all of the people and train cars made him stand out. All the other lieutenants wanted nothing to do with him. Even with our friendship, I rolled my eyes at all of his antics. Araldo, Bernardo, Ronan and Cameron were left behind. That was a measure to ensure that things continued to run smoothly while we were gone. There was a lot of things to do and money to be made. I got his attention and told him to stay still. He grumbled at me, but did as I asked when he saw the look on the other's faces. Nicolò was someone that could read a room really well. Being an orphan trained you for that. If you did not understand the people who would help you or hurt you, you would die. I had to help him pack up. He did not know what to pack for a trip like this. We ended up having to go down to the local store to get toiletries and spare outfits. It was a week trip, so we needed a lot of outfits.
