Now it was time for action. We had to go over there and steal. Once we were there, Hinatsu said "Remember how Mr. Person's always an asshole to us? His damn store always has the top window open." Eiji nodded. "Yeah. He's a fucking bastard. It isn't our fault we were not born Blessed Humans." That was something I did not know. It was good information though. None of these guys were Blessed. I was not going to drain them then. "Let's go check it out." I said to set us on the path that would get us moving. We then walked the perimeter of the store. It was just as Hinatsu said it was. The window was wide open. The question was whether or not we were going to go inside. He obviously wanted to go in. Kyosuke was not too sure about it. I did not care either way as long as we did something. Eiji used some of my ooze to coat his hands. He just decided to go up to the wall and start at a good pace for climbing. I climbed after him. Hinatsu looked from side to side. 'If you do not want to go in, that is okay. Just keep watch.' I assured him. I told Kyosuke and Eiji the exact same thing. To be safe.
Eiji just rolled his eyes as he got up to the window. It was open and he slipped in. He was committed to doing this crime. Eiji must really hate the owner. I quickly went in after him. I looked around. We were in an attic storeroom at the moment. A popup appeared and told me I was now committing a crime. I was designated as a villain so I could get exp. for committing crimes. If I was supposed to be a hero, I would get the exp. from saving people and just stopping crimes. Eiji said "Hey. Let's go trash the place." I shook my head. "Not until we get the money and all of the good shit out of here" I told him. He nodded his head and went downstairs to the actual store. Hinatsu then followed us inside. I followed them both down. I zeroed in on the cash register. There was an older man at the counter. I guessed that this was Mr. Person. Both of the boys recognized him. It was time for me to go. I could not leave these up to kids. While they were delinquents, they were barely 14 by the look of them. I did not want them to fuck this up and get hurt. I snuck up behind him and knocked him down with my bites.
Oozing myself in the register, I was able to break it open and get all the money. That added to my crimes. Eiji was grabbing things off the shelf and into a box that he had found. It seemed to be expensive. I was not a drinker though, so I could not tell the true value of the goods. I helped topple the shelves when we were done. By the time we did, police sirens blared. I grabbed Eiji. "You have to listen to me!" I said urgently. Hinatsu came in close as well to hear what I would say. I said "I have many clones left in the city. I want you guys to hide upstairs. If I say run, you need to run away. Do not try to save me. Police have guns and even I don't know if I can stop all of those bullets with just my ooze. I don't want you to get hurt. You have to promise me that you won't get in the way." Hinatsu pulled the face covering ooze and looked at me with a scared look on his face. I pushed both him and Eiji towards the stairwell. They ran and hid upstairs. I hoped that they would be okay. I liquified and moved myself over to the corner of the room. If we were lucky, they would not find us and leave. I hoped so.
