Even though that they could not bodily transform into their blades, they could summon them to the hands. Just like we could, they could take their weapons in their hand and engage in battle. I decided to name my son. All the other Battle Spirits thought that it was stupid to limit their children by imposing a name on them. They would decide what they wanted to be called for themselves when they were ready. I did not believe in that nonsense. His name was Aaren and his mother was Alaya. Darrien's wife was Anika. Liam's wife was Maryam. Knat's wife was Alana. I did not bother with the other wives. I did not care too much about them. Liam and Darrien were very close as brothers, and Liam was the chosen champion of Knat. Our children would obviously be close as they grew up together. It was the least I could do. Blade Spirits did not have siblings, so they were not too familial. They just happened to look the same because they spawned in the same place in their village. Now we all looked very different from each other. Shank came over and asked me to spar. It was more of a demand.

Nothing was going on and I was bored. I agreed to the spar. Shank summoned his shortsword and unsheathed it. I had my modified kusarigama. Because I was a pure blooded Blade Spirit, I was automatically a master at kusarigamajutsu, the martial art relating to using it. The weight at one end and the kunai at the other were all part of me. The chain was my reach. The more I put into my Reach stat, the longer the iron chain would be. I could get stronger and better metals by improving other stats as well. I also had magic from the last milestone. I decided to specialize in healing. That would make me even more valuable as a weapon. I was doing my best to dodge and block Shank. He was strong. I could not beat him on my own just yet. Last time, I won because it was a 3 on 1. Since this was a 1 on 1 fight, I needed to be careful. I was doing my best to not get beat. He smirked. "I guess you really aren't all that bad. Krit would be floored by now." he said. I bet he would. He was not one for strategy. I was down to a quarter of my health. Shanks was at half health. He had a bigger bar than me.

Shank beat me handily. When you were knocked out, your vision went dark and fuzzy for 5 minutes. Sound was muffled as well. That was to simulate being knocked out while still being aware of one's surroundings. When you were killed the vision went black and there was no sound for 3 minutes before you respawned at the last place you rested. When I was able to get up, Shank was actually crouching in front of me. He gave me a wolfish grin. "I'm the top dog again." he said. I nodded my head. The only thing that would appease him would be to simply agree. I wanted to get up and stretch my limbs. Shank pushed me back down. I grunted and looked up at him. "Not yet, alright. I'm going to take what I want. I am not a weakling like you, so don't think I am going to waste time swinging you around." He then chuckled to himself. "I get it though. Having my power, of course you'd want a little taste of it." he said. I just rolled my eyes at that. "So, what do you want!?" I asked him. He said "I'm going to breed your wife. My wife is too passive. You do not deserve yours with how soft you are." I sighed.
