Allison Kincaid hadn't wanted to come to the mall at all that day, but unfortunately her mom sent her to pick up a gift for her grandmother's upcoming birthday, and the family matriarch's favorite gift, charms for her bracelet, necessitated a trip to the Pandora store at Lakeview Mall. Allison was a sophomore at Lakeview Academy and a fairly nondescript one at that. She was a dark haired girl of distant Irish ancestry, with a slight wiry build, brown eyes, and a light dusting of freckles on her cheeks. Today she was wearing jeans, an undone green plaid button up over a white tee shirt, and an old pair of doc martens. Socially she was a bit of a loner, preferring to hangout by herself usually playing video games or reading; she participated in soccer but only because her mom made her, wanting Allison to be somewhat active, meaning she was firmly on the JV team and a bench warmer most of the time.
At that moment all Allison wanted to do was get to the west side of the mall so she could catch the city bus on time to get home, and she was in a bit of a hurry to make it. That was probably why she was trying to squeeze past Biff Meadows when she would normally go out of her way to walk around him. She knew who he was of course, everyone knew the big man on campus, and while Allison wasn't a usual target of Steve and Biff's bullying, she always chalked that up to her skill of staying out their way. 'Keep your head down and don't make waves' was always her mantra for surviving high school, or at least it was until she muttered "excuse me" and her world changed.
There was a quick flash and suddenly the positions of the two swapped, Allison on the bench and Biff now the one trying to get by. Actually, it was Allie who was sitting down, and Buford nervously stepping along, the one who went by a nickname shifting as well. The reversal magic could be quirky in the way it decided roles, and in that moment it had shifted the former Biff's role of Star Jock, dating Sarah McMillan to Allison, while he received her Single, Loner with Mild Anxiety status in return.
Buford Meadows was a sophomore member of the JV football team, and not a very good one, much his sports loving father's disappointment. He still had the same hair, facial features, and basic appearance of Biff, but his build had entirely changed. He'd dropped a whole foot in height, going from 6'1 to 5'1, and lost almost all of his muscle definition; the new Buford tried his best on the field but he just wasn't a gifted athlete, dealing with a slow metabolism, asthma, and slight frame for a boy. No matter how much his dad, Gary, dreamed of his kid being a football star, it was quickly becoming evident that it just wasn't in the cards for Buford. Even if he had possessed the physicality to win on the field, he lacked the charisma you needed in a team captain. Today Buford was wearing a Raiders tee shirt, beige slacks and tennis shoes
Today he'd come to the mall to pick up a new pair of sneakers, (he didn't really need a new pair but he was a bit of a collector) which he currently had in the plastic bag he carried; he had been trying to get to the exit to meet his mom, who had texted she was there to pick him up. That was when he'd seen Allie Kincaid, one of the most popular girls at Lakeview, and decided to swing past her; in truth Buford had an unrequited crush on the girl, something he probably wasn't alone in, even if he knew it would never come to anything considering Allie was quite publicly a lesbian.
Speaking of Allie, she had changed as much if not more so than the new Buford. She'd shot up in height to an even 6 foot and her entire body had slimmed and toned, losing all baby fat and developing smooth muscle. She hadn't become the body builder that Biff was, due to their differing sports and genders, but she's soaked up every drop of athleticism that had drained from the former QB. Allie was now the star forward of the girl's soccer team, and team captain to boot, something you might be able to guess from the powerful legs peeking through her pre-torn jeans. Not only that, but in order to make her the star jock, Girl's Soccer had displaced football as the sport most cared about at Lakeview Academy, drawing the biggest crowds, getting star placement at pep rallies and so on. Some people still cared about football, of course, but it was more of a niche thing in their town.
Allie raised an eyebrow as she pulled her leg in slightly to let Buford pass; she recognized him vaguely as a Lakeview student, though that was more of a guess based on his age than anything. Allie had come to the mall with her girlfriend Sarah, and was minding their bags while the blonde used the bathroom. She smirked slightly when she saw the boy blush before hurrying past. She'd have to tell Sarah about this since it was more common for her girlfriend to get underclassmen with crushes than for her.
Not that Allie wasn't good looking in her own right; while the reversal hadn't really centered around attractive features for the roles in question, there had been a few incidental changes that improved the new Allie's appearance a bit. The most obvious was her new height and physical fitness, making her friends joke she was a proto-Amazon. However, the other major component was her newfound confidence and social status making her take a bit better care of her appearance, leading to lots of slight changes that added up. Besides, dating Sarah McMillan for over a year meant the other girl's love for things like fashion, and proper skin and hair care had rubbed off a bit. Allison wore her letterman jacket tied around her waist, a pair of torn jeans and a grey cami top that showed off her new guns.
A few moments after Buford had gone, Allie felt a gentle hand coming from behind to cup her chin and tilt her head back; Allie just smiled and leaned backwards to kiss Sarah who had come up from behind, breaking after a moment to say, "you miss me already?"
"I always miss you, babe," Sarah quipped. While the reversal had been happening to Biff and Allie, Sarah had changed herself in the bathroom due to the shifting reality of Lakeview. From the outside the only shift had been one you might be forgiven for not noticing at first or from a far, but given a moment you'd see that Sarah had become a bit less beautiful. She was still very pretty, with dimples, sparkling blue eyes, golden hair, c-cup breasts and a lovely figure, but the change was definitely there. Her butt was a bit less of a perfect curve, her height had dropped an inch and a half throwing off her proportions a bit, there was a pimple mostly hidden by concealer on her forehead that hadn't been there before, and her nose was just a bit bigger. She had gone from almost unrealistically gorgeous, to just incredibly pretty, all of it a result of the physical changes to her mother Susan that accompanied the older woman losing her status as a popular model to Linda Madison-Gibson; this slight reduction of Sarah's genetic lottery had in a round about way transferred to the new Juniper, who was now the one with supermodel blood running in her veins, making Juniper even more stunning than Elizabeth, the girl who's role she'd taken.
The other changes to Sarah were mental and they were evident as she and Allie split the bags between them, before sweetly clasping hands, the shorter blonde leaning slightly against her taller dark haired girlfriend. Sarah of the changing reality was a far sweeter person than she had been before the shift happened, due to a couple of reasons. First of all, when she'd been a model, Susan McMillan was quite arrogant something that had been passed onto her daughter, but had been humbled somewhat after the reversal and that carried through. There wasn't a massive shift from that, Susan's core essence hadn't changed with Linda's, as evidenced by the new model being a bit more haughty but nowhere near as bad as Susan had been, and of course she had the same father, meaning Sarah's upbringing hadn't changed that much.
No, the bigger reason for the shift in her personality was down to the reversal that just happened between Allie and Biff. Biff had always brought out the worst in Sarah, encouraging her meaner impulses and policing their friend circles so the two of them only hung out with sufficiently cool kids. Biff and Tiffany had played a significant role in the deterioration and eventual destruction of Sarah's relationship with her childhood best friend, Karyn Black, for instance. Now, Sarah was in a much more loving relationship with Allie, and was all the better for it. Allison and Sarah's personalities just clicked more, they shared more interests or at least cared about each other enough to indulge one another. Allie wasn't at all the tyrant bully Biff had been, and without that bad influence, Sarah hadn't become a bully either; ironically it actually made the cheerleader more popular than she had been, as, without antagonizing certain cliques, she was nearly universally liked.
As they walked over towards the jewelry store to grab something for Allie's grandmother, Sarah slipped her hand into her girlfriend's backpocket and gave the soccer player's ass a little squeeze, making the normally cool and collected Allie blush a little. "What are you doing there, Sarebear?" Allie asked softly.
Sarah looked up at her with big innocent eyes, "nothing. Just putting my hands on what's mine."
Allie licked her lips and then purred, "well let's get this damn charm as quickly as we can then get to your place. Then you can put your hands wherever you want..."
What followed might have been the fastest transaction the Pandora salesperson had ever seen; Allie and Sarah were every bit the horny couple Biff and Sarah had been, and an afternoon makeout session back at Sarah's house was now a very high priority for them.
