Nicolò was still a kid. He might have been impressive to the recruiter, but he was not going to be doing anything important. We were on the verge of becoming 5 star mob doctors in under a month in-game. He was just a guard at some brothel in North Star. An unarmed guard at that. It only recently opened up its doors. The third week of our team practice saw us doing 30 more jobs around the city. That brought us to a total of 90 missions completed. I was breaking every conceivable expectation Brandon and Miracle had for us. It was enough to get us both in the Blue Codex. We were superb doctors that were not scared to do some bloodletting of our own. We were also rated 4.5 stars as doctors. The milestone for the 4 star level allowed us to actually get a license to practice medicine. A crooked official sent off the paperwork for us and we got the certificates. Now we could actually write prescriptions for drugs. Prescriptions that could be filled at any civilian pharmacies that you could enter. It allowed us a great 15% bonus to the price we could charge for all services as well. We could use that.

Like I had planned, at the end of my first in-game month, we had reached 5 stars as doctors. I could also tell from the Blue Codex that Emilio had 4 stars in combat. The role he had in combat was limited. He basically cleaned up the scraps for me. Emilio was pretty happy about how far he had come in such a short time as well. Nicolò was working at his job and we decided to pay him a visit. First, we were going to upgrade both of our rackets. For the brewery we owned, we put the Security to 2 stars. I wanted it to be secure. For the big speakeasy, we brought the Production to 2 stars. That allowed us to make some basic quality booze in house. It was nowhere near as much as a brewery, but it was good enough to keep the patrons happy. We were still bringing the crates of the low quality booze. That gave some variety to the patrons. I looked at Emilio. "Are you ready to see where Nicolò is working?" I asked him. He nodded his head and said "Yeah. Miracle gave me the address. Let's go." We went to the South End district and looked around. Nicolò was an indoor guard. He did not say where.

Keeping secrets was not like him. Emilio and some of the others wondered if he was really doing okay. None of us wanted him to come to any harm. Any of the boys still in our child gang or aged out and unaffiliated would take a bullet for him. That was because we all knew that Nicolò would take a bullet for them. The only people that would not apply to were our former members that got scooped up in rival gangs. Even in that case, they would just give Nicolò the benefit of the doubt and let him off with a beating. Nicolò would do the exact same for them. Emilio and I walked up to the door. It was a hole in the wall, halfway down an alley. There was a black door with a thin slit near the top to see who was outside. It opened up and we saw a man's face. He looked confused at first and then annoyed. "Who the fuck are you 2!? Kids don't belong here!" he snapped. "We're looking for Nicolò. Is he in there!?" I asked. He glared at us. "I ask the fucking questions here! Who the fuck are you!?" he demanded. I gave our names with an eye roll. The door opened up quickly after that. We were notables.
