Going to Brandon, he gave us various jobs to do. Small time thugs needing a fence or a pusher or a doctor. Miracle was a drug designer. His jobs all revolved around the drug trade. Either we would help make it, go sell it, do a drop off of drugs or pick up the cash from the buyer. I was interested in the doctor jobs. We went to where they were and used a med kit to heal them. We both had 0 stars at every job right now. Using the med kit for wounds and scrapes was all we could do. If we got to a god tier 5 star mob doctor, we could do emergency surgery for people. Doing the jobs enough times brought our rating up. Every 10 jobs of a certain type gave use a half star. The fence jobs involved taking stolen stuff and selling it for a profit on the black market. Most people did not want to deal with stolen goods. It was a great way to have cops sniffing around you. If you had valuable goods though, the right kind of people might be willing to make a deal. Pushers were those who sat on street corners and tried to push the wares and goals of the gang. We could also be enforcers or bodyguards to power.

It was pretty easy going on the doctor circuit. Using our cash, we were able to buy a lot of med kits for our work. Going around and healing people was easy. There were some small hick ups however. We were dealing with bad people. Sometimes the assailants came to finish the job. We would have to fight them off. Worse than that was when the thug or goon did not want to pay up. We had to beat him up for cash. Usually, I just killed them for trying to cheat us. Emilio would convince them to give up the cash if the target was low enough on health after I shot them. That was if they survived my preemptive strike. It was a city full of gang activity. By the end of the in-game week, we had made it to 1.5 star doctors. At 1 star, we could properly use painkillers. It helped with the experience of healing the clients. Before, they just had to grit their teeth and bear it if we had to stitch them up. Emilio and I went at the same pace the week after that. That brought us all the way to 3 stars in the doctor job. At 2 stars we could revive those who died from overdoses within a certain time limit. That was very cool.

Once we hit 3 stars, Emilio and I could treat illnesses and cure all of the debuffs that came with them. As we moved up in rank, the amount of money we could get for our services went up. It was actually more profitable for us to be mob doctors than it was for us to own our rackets. However, that was going to change. Pooling our money together we had $23,426. Taking 20 grand, we made the speakeasy much better. Both the Quality and Security went up to 2 stats. There were now 2 men that were armed. We hired from the child gang. Emilio was the one to recruit them. Because they respected us as older, former members, they were happy to be given handguns and wait in the speakeasy if there was ever trouble. Their names were Zaccheo and Dalmazio. Both of them were 13 years old. We actually had good lighting now and a mysterious person had cleaned the place up. The bartender and the doorman were both adults of our ethnicity. The bartender was named Gaio. Rolando was the shifty doorman. Our secrecy dropped to 4 stars. Nicolò was jealous of all our progress. I gloated.
