Breeching prices were like a bride price in the real world. This was a very brutish custom in my opinion. If there was a virgin omega, the leader of the household could be paid for the pleasure of taking their virginity and breeding them. Usually this meant that a marriage would take place soon before. The omega had no say in the matter as usual. Especially if the head of their household was an alpha. It was therefore up to the house head to pick they right person for the breeching. Omegas only had value in their high fertility. An unmated omega was seen as an eyesore. An omega not mated to the person that breeched them was seen as the lowest whore imaginable. Noel had 2 beta parents. It would probably be up to his father. I was a Player. Clearly, I had no family ties. It was therefore up to me to find someone suitable and make sure that they were willing to commit to me. Otherwise, I would be seen as utter trash and would probably be so maligned as to be attacked in the streets. Noel sighed and said "That's one of the reasons I have to stay inside this weekend. He has 3 offers already."
It had to be rough for him. Hopefully, his father would allow him to give some insight on who his partner could be. I simply shrugged and said "You guys all know that I'm new to the country. I don't have a head of household. I'll just have to wing it. If I like somebody enough, I'll tell them the price. Probably something in the range they could afford." All the alphas except for Lester looked at me expectantly. I scoffed. "No way. Not you guys. We're just good friends. I'd never waste our relationship on some petty dick measuring contest between you all." That made them all upset. "What the hell do you mean, Sunny!? If you picked any other alpha, we'd never see you again anyway. They would have to blind and stupid to let you get anywhere near us!" Chester snapped in annoyance. I looked at the others. It certainly appeared as though they felt the same way. "Wow. I never really thought of it that way. This country sure is rough on omegas." "That's just how it is in life. Omegas need to be protected. They can't do much on their own." Lester said. I just pointed to Noel. "Noel is capable and cool."
All the alphas at the table seemed not to think so. Liam, Sam and James were just humoring us all of this time. Even when I showed them was Noel could still do, even as a male omega. I sighed and just left it at that. The rest of the day went by normally. I said my goodbyes at the gate again. Sheldon and the twins were going home for the weekend. It really was a shame that we could no go out. Liam, Sam and James were thinking about ditching the alpha class. I shrugged and said "You know that they are spewing bullshit as to why they treat omegas like shit over here. I think that you should skip all those lessons honestly." Eventually though, they said they had to go. I was not going to stop them. Walking Noel home, we passed the alley again. It was the quickest route to his house. This time a whole different group of delinquents came out. I watched as all 4 of them approached us at once. I was not getting a good feeling about that. "You 2 really don't know your place as omegas. We were sent here to show you were it is. Come with us." They then roughly shoved us into the long, dark alley.
