"Simon," Zoe called before she finally caught up with him.
He looked at her. "I...just need some time alone, Zoe."
"I'm worried about you," Zoe told him.
"Just...this is kind of hard to deal with," he replied. "And then...sometimes it just feels normal, you know? Then suddenly...I realize it's not."
"Yeah...it kind of sucks though," Zoe said.
"It seems to have helped you," Simon said. "I mean...you and Athena seem to be hitting it off..."
"Yeah," Zoe admitted. "I...guess we know how to settle that whole nature versus nurture thing now. I'm just wondering where you got such good taste in clothes. You look good in that outfit."
Simon paused. "You think so?"
"Yes," Zoe said. "I mean...Athena is right. There might be some...leakage from Karyn...but this is all you."
"Thanks, Zoe girl....you're a good friend," he said.
"So...what do you want to do now? I mean...I think the mall is kind of done today."
"Well, either we go back to the house or...we could crash the McMillan's party," Simon said.
"Why would you want to do that?" Zoe asked. "Also, we were kind of invited...I'm not sure that's crashing."
"Because if we're all this mixed up...what happened to them?" Simon pointed out.
