Doctor Elias Ellis munched on a nutrition pellet as his eyes roamed across the early responses to the return of the KS Chronicles. He had a long history with the network, but if the show didn't show improvement with this retooled season, he might be out on his ass. Luckily it seemed the reviews coming in were generally positive, which was a big relief after how people reacted to the introduction of the wishing stone at the end of the last season. It seemed people were willing to put up with a plot device they didn't care for, it the changes they made with it were to their liking. The big focus so far was people being glad Jon was off the show, but some of their other changes were getting good responses as well.

"Don't get too excited, Elias," the doctor chastised himself, "It's still the first episode of the season." While KS Chronicles was a full OmniSimulation show, meaning viewers who paid for an Omniviewer subscription could drop their personal view point anywhere in the Renderzone, the radius of the simulation, centered on Lakeview or wherever Sarah and Karyn were, that was always graphically rendered, the larger portion of the audience instead chose to watch the daily edited episodes. The episode format, presented in both Holoview, and Flatview, was curated by the show's staff to follow the most interesting plot lines, and the runtime was typically split 40% Karyn, 40% Sarah and 20% other plotlines. The first edited episode of the new season, fittingly titled 'New Beginnings' had just released a few hours ago.

Ellis glanced over at a message board for the show's fans to see it was really popping off, with far more traffic than they'd had in a long time.

KARYNATOR: PRAISE THE STAR GOD, THEY GOT RID OF GIBSON! They finally listened to the fans and cut our girl free from that deadweight, not it's time for Karyn to rise like a phoenix from the ashes.

MISTERNEPTUNE: I gotta say, I'm cautiously optimistic about this season. No Jon, plus some fun new characters, and maybe a good Karyn plot line starting for once. Plus it looks like they gave Sarah some better competition for Homecoming Queen than Lily was. I know everyone's talking about tracking back to do Junior year without Gibson, but I'm looking forward to a Homecoming competition that's not just a cakewalk for Sarah this time around.

EARTHFAN: Yeah, that Mackenzie character they added really popped. Seeing her one up Sarah at lunch was hilarious.

SARAH4EVER: Lol, even when they're making a big deal about revamping to make Karyn more interesting, our queen still has the best storylines. I can't wait to see her demolish this Australian chick.

KARYNATOR: Uh, what are talking about? Mackenzie's totally a Karyn plot character, not Sarah. Did you see the sparks flying between her and Kimberly? I hear wedding bells.

SARAH4EVER: Bruh, they just met. She's probably just a slut like Tiffany, one who Sarah will CRUSH!!

KISSSHIPPER: Guys! Characters can have connections to both of the leads, in fact it's better that way. If you're an old school fan, you'll remember when Karyn actually interacted with the rest of the cast before Jon locked her down in boringville.

SKYLADY: Man, sounds like things are finally heating up: I might have to start watching again.

NUMBERONECHRONICLER: Uh, did anyone else with an Omniviewer check out the incoming freshmen? Something freaky's going on with the Starr twins. CiCi totally wigged out in the afternoon and kept saying she needed to find Athena before they took her to the nurse. According to their bios, those two shouldn't even know each other that well.

KARYNATOR: Huh, that didn't make the episode. Maybe that's going to come into play later? Athena's the Goth Sophomore, right?

Elias's brow furrowed at the last two comments. The program was complex enough that he couldn't constantly monitor all of it personally, especially when he was exhausted following the revamp. He really just wanted to close the reviews and pop open a hydration packet, but there was a phrase there that bothered him. Since when did Lexi Starr have a twin?
