Jon gestured to the boobs and blonde hair she'd accidentally given herself, "Oh really, because you've been so good at it so far!"
"Jesus Jon, you always think you know best," Karyn complained. "Like you've ever had to make an important decision!"
"I make important decisions all the time," Jon yelled. Even if that wasn't really true, he was getting angry at this point, "My life's pretty complicated!"
"Well guess what, it's not always that easy being me either. God, I wish you'd lived my life and could see what I was talking about!" Karyn had one moment for eyes to widen in shock before the flash of white light overtook the pair.
When it cleared, Jon's room looked completely different...it looked like it belonged to a girl..more of a tomboy sort.
Karyn grabbed the stone away from him. "Give me that..." She said, grabbing a box and putting it inside, then locking it. "I shouldn't have let you touch my stone. It's too dangerous. Let's see what your wish did."
"My wish..." Jon scratched his head. "Wasn't it your wish?"
"No..." Karyn looked equally confused. "No, you're right...What just happened?"
What just happened was that Karyn's wish had erased both Jon Madison and Karyn Black from existence. In the new reality, on what had been Jon's birthday, Karyn Madison was born. And vice versa. So, Jon, while remaining male, had lived the life he'd have had if he'd been born in Karyn's place and vice versa.
