If sucking the energy psychically boosted mana, if an incubus or succubus wanted to get physically stronger, they had to consume semen. That, of course, meant leaving the Ethereal Plane and entering the Material Plane. The risk was that you could now be interacted with. The reward was delicious sustenance from the humans. You also could learn spells to further restrain them. The final line of defense would be to kiss them on the mouth. The kiss of a succubus or incubus is an echo of the emptiness that is the fiend's longing for a corrupted soul. Likewise, the recipient of the fiend's kiss gains no satisfaction from it, experiencing only pain and the profound emptiness that the fiend imparts. The kiss is nothing short of an attack, usually delivered as a final farewell before the fiend escapes. You had to have a really tough constitution or a sheer force of will to withstand it. I was probably going to go learn some magic to help in feeding. In the human world, fiends needed to feed to sustain themselves. All of the negative, evil energy in the lower planes could sustain a fiend. They would still be weak.

We were taken back to the marshes. The portal was in the ground. You had to know where to look and dive in the appropriate spot. Now we were all back in Avernus. My plans to get to Suzie were foiled. The guide took on his true form and took flight he hovered above us. "That was you introduction to this place. Most of you die within a year. Those were the words he chose to leave us with. I guessed that it was almost kind of him. He did not seem to need to take the 5 of us under his wings to show us the ropes. Since it was really sudden, they just began to walk in all directions by themselves. They had no reason to be here if they did not have to be. I could probably flag one of them down and try to ally myself with them. A full party was 6 people. That was why the guide had 5 of us with him. I was going to have to wait until I could gather some good incubi and succubi for my squad. If we had one, we could go back over to the human world.
