It took several months, but Rin, Asahi and Hibiki all had it. Keisuke found out that his affinity was earth. Hatsuka had an air affinity and Fuyumi had fire. I was a Player, so this was never a problem for me. I was not bound to an affinity, I just had to put skill points into the elemental ninjutsu attributes I wanted. Keisuke was a bit disappointed with the results. He would not be able to learn Water Bullet. He brought out his scroll to show us. "Hey man. Don't be so hard on yourself. Now that we know, we can add to our skillsets. If we see any elemental ninjutsu scrolls, we can share them around with those that are best suited. Who knows, maybe there are skills low level enough that transfer across affinities. For all we know there could be a Fireball or Earth Bullet scroll out there that uses similar principles. We can all try it out." I said as a pep talk. I let them all open it and read it. The 4 of us with water chakra did as instructed. We channeled the chakra in our cores and had it pool there before quickly shooting it upwards and outwards. Asahi seemed to be really advanced as he could get it all out of him.
Rin and Hibiki were choking and coughing up water for the first few weeks. I was able to shoot it out of both my mouth and palms with no problems. I put a lot of points in water ninijutsu to make this possible. Kesiuke tried it and was unable to bring it up. He tried and tried but nothing ever happened. Hibiki joking said "If it won't come up, why not try going down? That's how food works." Asahi slapped him on the arm for being insensitive. Keisuke thought for a moment. "Alright. I'll try it. I've always had a feeling." he said quietly. That made all of us shut up and look at him. He channeled it like he was supposed to and shoved it down. His whole body was lifted a foot in the air. A foot tall block of dirt appeared out of nowhere and knocked him to the ground. We all got closer and looked at it. "Holy shit! He did it!" Hibiki said. Keisuke hit his head so he was a bit stunned from it. "You fucking did it Keisuke!" Rin cheered. "Write that shit down. You created a new ninjutsu." I raised my hands. "Wait a minute. We don't know that at all. There could already be a technique like this. We also need a use for it."
For starters, I did not want to get everyone's hopes up for nothing. Second, I did not see the use in a niche technique like this. There would probably only be very few situation where dumping all your chakra out your feet to get a boost would be practical as a shinobi. We already had chakra infusing our muscles to help with jumps and leaps. We all knew Water Walk and Wall Walk already. It was up t him to decide whether or not he wanted to use and develop it, but I did not see any benefit. Our wives were both encouraged seeing it. They wanted to try using the technique. Fuyumi got a jet of flames to come out her mouth. It back fired though as it hurt her throat and she was hoarse for the next 3 days. Hatsuk was similarly lifted off her feet when she pushed it down. I wondered if she would be able to float if she developed it further. I must have said it out loud as she looked wide eyed. "You think so!? That would be amazing, Nagisa-kun!" she said. We met in the garage to train for the 9 months. We had made good progress. Since that was our only scroll, we were not really productive here.
