Kirume Clan had a new hero! Eiko had made it to jounin rank. He had been to deal with a dispute between 2 merchant families in the town. One side paid us to get rid of the other. Eiko went over and seduced one of the enemy's influential sons. He then was put in position to preside over a tea ceremony between the families. The matcha used to make the green tea was poisoned, but the antidote was in all of the client's snacks. All 12 members of the rival family died. He had apparently been really into his hobby of making green tea. The seduction was top notch as well. For his prowess in penetrative and anal sex as well as he tea making, he was recognized by the clan leader. He was also added into the Ninja Bounty Book due to the audacious method of the assassination. That was good for him. Because he was the top ranked ninja of his generation and part of the main branch, he was marked to be the eventual leader of the entire clan. Just like Rin and Hibiki said, he was given a female clan member to marry from a side branch and was told to take 2 concubines that pleased him as well.
This whole plot of his took 9 in-game months to come to fruition. In that time frame, I gathered my squad together. Just like I had promised, we did every single mission together. No matter who was assigned what, we grouped up to undertake it. The squad comprised of Asahi, Rin, Hibiki, Keisuke Izayoi and me. We were balanced with 3 shinobi and 3 kunoichi. We could use a soft approach, or brute force when we were faced with an obstacle. 8 assassination requests were given to us from the elders. It was not up to us to ask where they came from and how people got in touch with all the elders. When they were women targets, we simply gave it to Asahi, Rin and Hibiki to execute the plans. The rest of us were back up if things went wrong or the escape route was blocked by combatants. 5 of the missions were for men. We just went in, found them and took them out. 6 on 1 were really good odds. Another 6 missions were escort missions. People wanted to go somewhere and either did not want to be found or wanted to be safe from those who did find them. Keisuke and I were pros at it.
When you think about it, saving Goro, Rokuro and Juro was not just a simple act. We also escorted them to the genin exams, waited for them to finish and then brought them home to their village. The elders were right to pick us out for these kinds of missions. Our kill counts were pretty high too as we sometimes let the person we were escorting make a bad move on purpose to attract some enemies. Torikago Clan still wanted to kill Kyoko. I saw some green birds fly over head and ran to get the guys together. We then went to her house and saved her. They tried using poison, but we killed them and alerted her and Chihiro, who had married and moved into an all new house together. That was considered a clan mission. That brought Keisuke and I to 17 missions. Asahi was also a 17. Rin and Hibiki had been slacking off and were only a measly 15 missions down. We still had a ways to go. Eiko's new rank really motivated all of the others. He was boosted by a Devil, but we were going to do it the right way. We were all leveling up slowly but surely. I Iiked that about us. We all had a bond.
Every single weekend we were free, I would force all of the squad members together along with our wives. We would gather in either Keisuke's or my garage. Our wives had used the money we gave them to turn the empty spaces in to great areas to train and improve ourselves. The thing that I wanted to train the most was chakra control and manipulation. Suzie told me that was the basics towards learning the elemental ninjutsu and even gaining new abilities that pertained to them. Keisuke and I were still sitting on that Water Bullet ninjutsu scroll. None of the members of the clan could manipulate chakra or had any elemental affinity. This was a minor clan. My hope was to have at least some of us learn how to do it. NPCs could not learn the skills if they did not have the affinity for it. NPCs were also influenceable if you had high enough opinion with them. Just like with humans, if they liked and respected you enough, they would give your opinions on things more weight when making a choice. All of us meditated and I subtly shifted intentions to see if they had affinity for water chakra.
