Juniper walked down the hall to check on Zoe and Mikey, which was foolish of her as had she run into Zoe, Zoe would have swapped with her, and Juniper would have ended up the younger sister and probably a goth to boot.
In fact Zoe was out, walking to a friends house, but she was not immune from the changes that had affected both her mother and now sister, as the Goth found herself go from walking to skateboarding, and found her more attractive and athletic body she had inherited from her mother and had in common with her older sister no longer being dressed in random gothic hand me downs but instead take on a sort of punk esthetic. She was still the rebel of the family, but now that took on a more "Fight the power" mode as her family was more established and a part of that power structure. That being said she also had the new skateboard, and headphones which cost at least 200 dollars on her head, and the outfit, which came pre ripped and sewed wasn't cheap either. Also where she was headed had changed, she had been headed to Athena's, but now her new beauty and slight change in social class made her the doll of the skate park so she was headed there, for the adoring boys and to piss off her mom. She'd have to ask one of the guys to take and post picture of her there in hopes it would get to her mom.
At first she found the skateboarding hard, but then when Junipers changes kicked in, Zoe inherited some of the athletic prowess her sister got and became a natural at it, zipping around bystanders and even attempting a grind down a rail, which went well except for the landing which she had to bail on. As she picked herself off the ground an older girl passed her, did the same grind and nailed the landing, soaring over Zoe's head in the process, and totally showing her up. The girl, about 19 turned to her and said, "don't worry kid, you'll get it next time." A blink and a now 19 year old Zoe turned away from the kid she had just watched fall, pulled a cigarette from her leather pants and took a long drag in.
Back at the house Juniper was just about to turn the handle to Zoes room, and when she did, she found her stuff inside...wait...am I middle child now? She checked, her age hadn't changed, she was still the same girl she had been for the past, well, 3 minutes but still. Juniper turned back to her old room to find a mostly abandoned room. Zoe had clearly moved out.
Back at the skate park Zoe was getting on the back of her boyfriends motorcycle to head back to his place. On the way without knowing it they passed her mother on a way back home in a lincoln town car, which instinctively Zoe flipped off as they passed before kissing her guys neck as he drove. She felt drunk on the wildness of it, she really didn't give a fuck and it felt so free.
