Sarah was reluctant to study her new face in the mirror she wished up, but now she couldn't keep her eyes from it. Her eyes, they were green now, or brown, it was harder to tell because they no longer screamed blue at everyone they looked at. This face lacked the certainty that the old one had, both in expression and in features, nothing really stood out in this face as either impressive or ugly, and when she tried to pose in the mirror it was much less convincing than when she tried the same poses in her old body. If she was going to make this face work she was going to need call attention to it, she was going to need make up, a nose ring (ugh, that seemed so desperate...but otherwise who would notice her face?) and if she was going to make this body work she was going to need....she didn't know, she had never had this problem and she didn't know if fashion was the answer or not.
Sarah was spending so much time in the mirror that she nearly fell in it, and failed to recognize that she had wished up not only this room, this face, and this mirror, but also her place in this family now. That in her hand she was holding a wishing stone. So when she said the words, "I wish the clothes in my room would fit better", two things happened. One in this room, all the clothes which would have fit a female Jon shrunk and expanded in all the places that they would need to for the new Sarah's body, which despite being less than her former body, was more than his would have been had Jon been a girl. Sarah suddenly found the outfit she was in to be much more comfortable, which was what it was designed to be, even though it was only jeans and a female cut T shirt which the wish had swapped out to fit her better by making it a fashionable Wonder Woman shirt instead of the Captain Marvel which a female Jon would have preferred. Suddenly Sarah was admiring how the twin W's across her chest made her feel, she had never read the books or seen the movies, but something in her was stirring at the symbol. It didn't make her feel any more beautiful, but it did make her feel...safe maybe? A woman down the hall was calling for someone. Sarah hoped it wasn't for her, but knew it had to be her "mother" she griped the stone a little in fear.
At the same time a girl across town who had convinced herself that she was also Sarah McMillian found she could finally breath correctly as a bra the right size graced her impressive chest. Jon as Sarah was actually a little taller than Sarah had been, she had better legs for certain, and she may have been even chestier than OG Sarah was because Jon just assumed that's how big they actually were, even if they were getting some help from shirts and bras before, now that help had help and it was creating a spectacle that Sarah would have not allowed had she still had the body for it. The new Sarah was a bit like a girl in her mothers high heels, unsteady as she walked, in the back of her mind she knew this was all dress up. SO you can imagine the relief when it all suddenly fit this girl, and she could naturally look in her own mirror and say, "Wow Sarah, you've never looked so good" as she power posed in the mirror. Why did everything in her closet look new? A woman she was calling mom called for her and she gleefully came.
