"Yeah, but ... you're not like that. I mean, is this place changing you, like mentally? Because I haven't been acting any different myself ..."
Jon listened to what his friend, potential girlfriend, was saying, then replied, "How would you even notice? I mean...you've always acted like a girl. Now everyone around you is doing the same. Why is that a problem?"
Karyn thought about it. "I guess it isn't."
Jon gestured to Biff and Sarah. "Look at how happy they are. I don't think they were before. And we're all friends..."
Karyn had to admit...being just one of the girls was kind of nice...as opposed to what she usually went through in a day. But she couldn't help thinking there was something else going on. "Maybe we should go back though..." Karyn said. "Where'd you put the device?"
Jon blinked for a second. He hadn't thought about it since they got to this world, caught up in everything. He hadn't seen it since they got there.
Jon hadn't realized it yet, but he'd wished if there was another version of the traveler...they would inhibit their body...he hadn't wished anything about the device coming along. The device was exactly where it had been before...on his wrist...in the other reality.
