"So...what happens when Gena takes a shower? Do we end up with another change...or...is that why the magic passed on to the next person? Because she's not Jon anymore?" Zendaya said.
"How do we end it then? The last I saw...Steve got caught up in it. Before that...it was Karyn." She paused. "Didn't you invite her over here?" Myka had become a new version of herself yet again. She was Myka Gibson, star athlete on the high school softball team, one of the most popular girls in school, but she wasn't the self-centered sort she'd been a moment ago. "Yeah...I'm sure she'll be here after class."
"Well, you seem to be in a better mood," Lanie said, appearing at the bedroom door. "I ordered a pizza. It should be here soon."
Myka's interest was piqued, Mikey had loved eating pizza, but Myka thought it was way too unhealthy. She didn't want to end up fat. Though ... maybe one piece wouldn't be so bad?
Normally they'd eat much later in the day (remember that the high school still had about 15 minutes left on the clock), but this was a special occasion. Lanie wanted to help Myka feel as comforted as possible.
Myka didn't quite seem as out of sorts as she had been when they left the school. But she was certainly being nicer to everyone than usual. Sitting down at the kitchen table, the Gibsons started to eat their very early dinner - Lanie, Gena, and Zendaya having pizza and cokes, and Myka having a salad and picking at a single slice.
