Normally they'd eat much later in the day (remember that the high school still had about 15 minutes left on the clock), but this was a special occasion. Lanie wanted to help Myka feel as comforted as possible. It wasn't really her fault that Myka didn't like pizza, preferring a salad instead. After all, she was still trying to get to know all her stepdaughters, having only been their new mother for no more than six months now. But she figured it was the thought that counted. Though, Myka didn't quite seem as out of sorts as she had been when they left the school. In fact, she seemed to be acting quite normal, for her. It wasn't possible to get over something like that so quickly, was it? Perhaps she was in denial or something?
Sitting down at the kitchen table, the Gibsons started to eat their very early dinner - Lanie, Gena, and Zendaya having pizza and cokes, and Myka having a salad and a bottle of water.
"Mom, if you don't mind, I invited my best friend over. Myka wanted me to," Zendaya said. "I just wanted to make sure there's enough pizza left for when ..."
"Oh, there will be, honey," Lanie said, pleasantly. "That means no seconds, Gena," she said to the Goth girl.
"What? That's not fair. I thought this was a family thing," she said, probably one of the only times she favored her family over someone else, but it was all just to get more pizza. But then an idea struck. "If she's inviting over Billy, then I should be able to invite Zara."
"Okay, fine," Lanie said, sighing. "You can have your friend over." Though she didn't much like her. She was a very strange girl. But Gena seemed to like her company.
"Wait, did you say Billy?" Myka asked, putting her salad fork down. Now having her own memories, she knew that Zendaya was referring to Billy Ross, one of her three best friends, the other two being Pete Roberts and, of course, Karyn Black. Still having the memories of changing from Mikey to Myka, though, she knew that Billy used to be a young girl named Lilly, apparently taking the place of a boy named Tim Brant, one of Jon's original friends. God, these different memories were giving her such a headache.
"Yeah? What's wrong? I thought you wanted him to come over," Zendaya said, clearly remembering her sister saying that, not much earlier, in fact.
"I thought we agreed that Karyn should be the one who should come over. You know, because of that thing," she said, not wanting the rest of the table to know that she was talking about the wishing stone. Though now, after Zendaya's wish that she'd know who she was, she was less eager for Karyn to come over. As far as putting an end to this clothing chain thing, Myka figured she could just rely on Zendaya. After all, she was the owner of the stone.
"Karyn? Who's that?" Zendaya asked, clearly puzzled.
"Oh no, it's already happened. You forgot about her," Myka said.
"Who is this Karyn that Myka is talking about, dear?" Lanie asked Zendaya.
"I have no idea," she answered.

At the high school, as the last period of the day was coming to a close, Karyn's position in her last class had changed. Not too long ago, she was sitting with the rest of the students, but at some point, she was asked to come to front of the class, but then just stayed there to the side of the teacher. She was now an intern, essentially the teacher's assistant, having graduated from high school the previous year.
