The only thing that Lara had kept in the divorce was the name Gibson, simply because it was the name people associated her with, being one of the top lawyers in the state. James Gibson wasn't happy about that, but he could do very little in court against someone like her.
"It must be nice to have her as a mom," Nurse Brant told Myka.
"What? No, she's not my mom," the 17-year old girl said, figuring that the nurse didn't know her family well enough. After all, Miss Wright was acting in a very maternal manner.
"Really? I thought I heard that your biological parents divorced a while ago and your dad married Lanie late last year," the nurse said.
Myka slowly turned away from looking at the doorway (awaiting Gena and Miss Wright's return) and looked at the nurse. "What did you say?" Her parents were divorced? And Miss Wright was her ... stepmother?
At that moment, Gena and Lanie Wright (now known as Lanie Wright-Gibson) came back with the discarded clothing from the janitor's closet. Myka recognized it right away.
"That's his," she confirmed.
"I know whose clothes these are," Gena said, with a sneer. "It's that womanizing prick Steve Farber."
