The nurse came back to Myka and placed her hand on hers, sympathetically. "I'm so sorry you had to go through something like that. Boys can be the worst. I was once a teenager too, you know," the woman said, looking to be in her early 30's. "All I can say is that things will get better. It seems like boys will always be boys, but some do grow up. Just give it time."

"Thanks for the advice, uh ..." Myka said, not knowing the woman's name.

"Nurse Brant," she said with a pleasant smile. "But you can call me Tammy, if you want."

"Now, let's get you checked out," the woman said, pleasantly. She examined Myka. "No broken bones that I can see...some bruising...did he get very far?" she started to look more deeply, but the Myka seemed squeamish, so she did the minimum she could. She also snapped some photos in case she was asked later, but not of anything inappropriate.

Myka blushed, uncomfortably. "He...started to touch me, I yelled for him to stop...and he ran off...He told me to stop being such a bitch." She shuddered.

Tammy sighed. "You said he came close to doing something...but...I'd like to say it is the last time this is going to happen...but you are an attractive young lady...you have to be careful. Have you considered..."

Myka waited for her to finish. She was attracted to boys...was definitely physically a girl...a lot to take in and tell to a woman who used to be a boy herself but clearly didn't remember it.

"Have you considered," Tammy repeated. "Self-defense classes?" She wasn't allowed to talk about protection. Thank you conservative state legislature. "I mean...if one of the boys tries something.."

Lanie Wright returned with gym clothes and Myka went into the bathroom to change. She looked at herself in the mirror...there was this part of her that liked how she looked...sexy...showing her assets off. And another part that kept replaying what that had led to. Fortunately, sexy Myka was under control.

She exited the bathroom. "Myka...are you going to tell us who the boy was?" Lanie asked.

Myka paused. How was she supposed to admit she had no idea what his name was? "I don't remember...all I can see is his...parts."

"Shock," Tammy said. "But she has bruising on her arm...like someone grabbed her. Scratches where someone pulled at her skirt...No evidence it got beyond that. But if this was a student...we need to tell the Principal, and maybe even call the police. He should be expelled."

"I'm going to pull your sisters out of class early..." Lanie said. "I don't think you should be alone. I need to tell Principal Smith about this. Tammy...I'll be back..." Lanie felt a bit overwhelmed. She wished they'd given her some training on this. What she was supposed to do. She was trying her best, but she was worried about Myka.

Margot Smith fortunately, knew what to do. She pulled a business card out of her desk. The one left by the nice police officer who had spoken to the students a few weeks earlier. She didn't want to phone the station and get a man, who wouldn't understand this sort of thing. She read the name on the card. Officer Sandra Weaver. She dialed the number.

Lanie found Gena first, in her last class of the day, and ushered her out into the hallway. She knew Gena could be difficult...but she and Myka were family..."I need to tell you something..." she said, looking obviously distraught.
