John decided to reverse what he did to Mr. Middleton (whose name was Jacob, by the way) and the other husband (whose name was apparently Rick). There was no reverse option on the device, but theoretically, all he needed to do was do the opposite of what he did to turn both of them into a gay married couple.
He pointed the Reality Tuner in their direction, making sure it would include both of them. But before he could move the reality adjuster in the other direction, which he believed would bring back Jacob's wife, as well as Rick's wife, Jacob Middleton grabbed the device out of his hand.
"That'th an odd-looking thing," he said effeminately, looking it over. "What doeth it do? Thome thort of thpecial remote control?"
"Uh, yes. Can you give it back to me, please? It's very fragile," John said.
"I didn't know we invited you to the party, hon," Rick said, swishing over with his wine cooler in hand. "I didn't think you were all that interethted in LGBT cautheth."
"Oh, well. I'm not. But I'm just trying to be neighborly," John said to Rick. "Now, can I have my device back?" he asked Jacob.
"What doeth thith do?" Jacob asked, turning the reality adjuster knob and pointing the device directly at John while doing it.
"No! Don't point that at ..." he yelled, then suddenly stopped. Why was he yelling again? He couldn't remember. In fact, he had no idea that Jacob had changed him and his life. But Jacob knew. Because he was the one holding the device. He stared at you with wide eyes, which made you a little uncomfortable. Why was he staring at you like that?
