"Behind? Behind on what?" Mikey asked, clearly confused.
The girl looked irritated. "On the baseball game. Duh."
"Baseball game?" he asked, then looked down at himself. How did he not realize that he was wearing a PE outfit of a gray jersey (with the words SHADOW PEAK HIGH SCHOOL printed on the front) and a pair of gray gym shorts? It was the same outfit that the girl was wearing.
"Come on," the girl insisted, pulling Mikey with her. "Almost all of our players have struck out. You might be our only chance to win against the other team."
Mikey was bewildered, but he let the girl take him anyway. She was very attractive, whoever she was. But as they moved down the hallways towards the back of the school, he found his attraction to her waning. She wasn't changing, though. He was, becoming more and more like the original Tiffany Sanders, who was a straight girl.
======
To say that Mikey was nervous would be an understatement. Add to that the overwhelming and confusing day he had had so far just made him feel like an absolute wreck. He took a deep breath, then raised the bat. He had played baseball in elementary school, but this was different. This was high school, where all the players were much more physically developed. Including him, though he failed to notice, so focused on everything and everyone else.
He glanced around the bases, and saw that two of them were occupied by members of his team. One on third, one on second. If they were going to win, then those two would have to make it to home base. Which meant that he had to hit the ball. It literally was all on him. That girl, whatever her name was - she was right. He was their only chance to win against the other team. And that just made him even more nervous.
The pitcher threw the ball and he swung.
"Strike!"
Okay, he had two more chances. Come on, Mikey. You can do this, he thought to himself. His crotch was feeling very strange again, which distracted him. He didn't even notice when the pitcher threw the ball.
"Ball!"
Okay, focus.
He looked over at the players on third and second, both looking impatient, wanting to run. Mikey took a deep breath and calmed himself. The pitcher threw the ball and ...
CRACK
"Mikey, run!" came the unnamed girl's voice.
He did it? Mikey snapped out of his surprise, then ran as far as he could go, which ended up being third base! The other two players made it to home base, winning them the game.
"Let's hear it for Myka! The third base girl!" the unnamed girl shouted.
"Wait, what did she just say?" Mikey wondered.
