"No. I am not alright!" Jon snapped. "That wish I made - it didn't get granted to me. And somehow, it made the popular crowd, not to mention Nadine and her friends, into Goths, and ..."
"Jon, what are you talking about? The popular crowd didn't become Goth. Goths are popular. It's always been that way. And Nadine and her friends? You mean Sabrina and Steve? They've always been that way, as far back as I can remember. I know it's popular to enjoy all that death metal those three listen to, not to mention acting like anti-social deviants, but it's just not for me, you know?"
"Wait, you mean Steve Farber?" Jon asked, hearing the names she said.
"Who else would I mean?"
"Karyn, listen to me. The stone isn't working right. But it must have still granted my wish in some way, because reality is different. You know how the stone works, remember? Anyone who doesn't hear the wish thinks that whatever changes was always that way. I'm the only one who heard my wish, so I'm the only one who notices that things are different. I'm not lying about this stuff just to mess with you. This isn't a joke. There's something really wrong with the stone. And until we know what, I don't think we should risk using it."
