But it wasn't just the popular crowd that had changed, as Jon soon found out.

Approaching the school from the other direction was that bible-thumper prude Nadine Ferguson, who (with her friends Tina and Paul) seemed to have made it their mission to destroy the Goth crowd, deeming them devil-worshipers. Well, now things were quite different. Nadine now had black hair pulled back into two pigtails, black make-up, pale skin, and was wearing a black T-shirt with a white upside-down cross printed on the front, a black and white tartan miniskirt, ripped fishnets, and black Demonia buckled platform knee-high boots. With the spiked collar around her neck and the various tattoos along her pale arms, she looked really bratty. She met up with Sabrina Johnson, who Jon knew had already been a Goth before all of this had happened (however it had happened - he still hadn't figured out that the stone he had wasn't his stone). Sabrina and Nadine seemed to be best friends now. And Jon had a feeling that the same went for Tina and Paul. He saw that he was right when he spotted a now-Goth Tina chatting with now-Goths Tiffany Sanders and Melissa Smith, both part of the original popular crowd, not to mention cheerleaders. Jon had to wonder if they were still cheerleaders, or if cheerleading even still existed.

"Hey, Jon. Are you alright?" Karyn asked, noticing her friend staring at a bunch of the popular kids.
