Stacy entered the dining room and found Linda Madison sitting at a table with her son, Mikey. "Whacha doin'?"
Linda looked over. "Hello, Stacy," she said. "I'm helping Mikey with his math homework," she said.
"Do you want to play House?" Stacy asked.
"I think I'm a bit old to be playing house," Linda said. "And besides..."
"Playing House is stupid..." Mikey said.
Linda turned and looked at him sternly. "Mikey..." she started. "Stacy, I am sorry. Mikey has to get his homework done."
Stacy looked at them. A sudden cloud of anger passed over her face before vanishing again. "Let's not play dress up anymore. Let's play something else," she told Linda.
Linda looked momentarily confused, looking at the girl and down at herself. She was still wearing what she'd worn to work that day. A red blouse, long white skirt, and a sensible pair of shoes. She had this sudden feeling that they were entirely too uncomfortable. She slipped off the shoes, and got up and slipped off the skirt, revealing she was wearing a pair of pink shorts under it. She pulled the red blouse over her head, revealing a pink t-shirt.
"C'mon, I'll show you my dollies," Stacy told Linda. The somewhat disoriented Linda began to follow her. Stacy turned back to Mikey. "Playing House is not stupid," she told him.
