We all sat down around the box on the floor in Billys room, even more geeky and full of sci fi memorabilia and posters then my own.
Billy opened it, inside was a simple deck of cards and a board with holes in six lines, "is that it?" Karyn asked. "yeah, the rules are there look, we just put the pegs in and take a card at a time, if we complete the task in the card we move forward a space. First to 25 successes wins." Billy said.
We all looked at the simple rules in faded and peeling gold thread sown into the boxes lining. We each placed a peg in the board.
"Me first" Gordon called grabbing a card, he placed it face down so we could all see.
On it was a picture of a dog. Under it was written,
- You will become a dog for one hour
- in order to score you must eat a tin of dog food
We all laughed at how silly that was, but I braced myself knowing something would happen.
Gordon started itching as hair sprouted from his face, much to the screams of everyone there.
Soon a dog stood where Gordon once sat, "it's magic" Jessica screamed at Billy looking shaken. "Yeah, cool right" Billy laughed pointing to the boards title. 'You are what you pick, the game of magical transformation' "I think I have a tin of dog food, let's see if he will eat it" Billy said leaving the room. "Don't worry" I said to everyone, "I'm sure it's all reversible"
Soon we were all sat watching Gordon sniffing at the dog food, "looks like he won't get a point, who's next?" Billy asked, everyone looked at me, "Jon" they said in unison. "He says it's safe" Karyn added punching me in the ribs and giving me a knowing look. I stared at her breasts throu her thick jumper.
"Ok" I said grabbing a card
