Jon wondered what was going on. He'd wished for the roles between kids and adults to be reversed. But it seemed like his wish had been interpreted differently than he'd expected...more literally than the figuratively he had thought.
So, he was living his mother's role, and she was living his. But there were only two adults in his house. His mother and father. And there were three kids. How was that going to work?
He couldn't worry about that now. He had to make dinner for everyone...at least as long as he was in this world. He started the oven and was pulling stuff out of the fridge when he saw something out the kitchen window.
Across the street was Mrs. Wilson's house. She spent many hours outside tending to her garden. He was about to turn back to the meal when he realized the figure in the front yard was not Mrs. Wilson.
