"No, he's still got it," Karyn demurred.
Karyn shifted her backpack on her shoulders, subconsciously twisting it further from Sarah. Teenage girls can be very superficial, and a simple "she looks a bit like me" was enough to change the history of the relationship between the two. Karyn had no idea, but Sarah now considered her to be a friend, and thought that she considered Jon more of an asset to be used than a person.
But until Karyn could figure out precisely what had changed, she was going to play along, make sure she aroused no suspicion.
And so the two girls headed off to class together, a brand-new experience for one of them and a daily occurrence to the other.
