When we got back to the clan building, I saw that there was a giant package outside of the cab depot. I asked the paladin dispatchers where the package came from. If it was another clan, we could bring it into the clan building to look at it discretely. They did not know. Apparently one second it was not here and the next, they found it. That was suspicious. There was no signs of a delivery truck, despite the size of the package. I moved closer to it and saw a mark I did not expect to see. It was the logo of the developers of the game. That was not something that you would see in any context in game. I looked at the box again, and under the logo it said "Wise Man Inc.". Paul and Brett had already logged off. There was a swim meet they needed to get ready for. I just opened the package on the street. Inside was a boy. More specifically, a boy-presenting android. There was a letter inside the box as well. "Dear PBJ Clan," it read. They knew who and where we were. That was not a good start. "It has come to our attention that Devils have infiltrated your organization." it continued. Not good at all.

The letter went even further. "We have assigned an investigator to sniff them out and report back so that we may purge them. This android unit is quite capable of sniffing out any and all Devil influence in your clan. Should any harm come to it, more investigations will be launched into your clan. We apologize for the big inconvenience." it concluded. I did not want this. I closed the box and dragged it all the way to the post office. I told it to return it to the sender. I then left. A couple of in-game days later, a pair of boxes appeared. I read the letters, which were identical. "We realize this may be uncomfortable for you, but we insist on these measures. Noncompliance is not an option." it read. That was a bummer. Not only was the first boy back, but we had another one. I sucked my teeth. I did not want to get even more of them in the mail. A sigh escaped, but I pulled the androids out and turned them both on. They sat up and looked at me. Once they were fully operational, they stood up and looked around the cab depot. They were both very interested in the paladins and me. I did not cooperate.

Neither of them brooked any nonsense from the paladins. We purposefully kept them all in the dark though. They would not be able to flip on us even if they wanted to. It was not up to them to determine what was useful for the investigation. It was up to the androids. I had to keep Brett and Paul away for as long as possible. Since I was in contact with them in real life, I could just log out and call them up. I excused myself and went to the apartment building. I gathered all the members I could and told them to spread the word. No one was to go down to the clan building. No one was to cooperate with the androids unless I was there. They nodded and went to tell the others in the clan. I went to my apartment and logged out. I got the headset off of me and left the room with my cellphone. I texted them both what was happening in the game. I hoped they saw it before logging back in. They both got back to me in minutes and said they would take a break and get back to the game later. That was good for them and us. With that, I was able to log back in. There were bangs on my door. They were loud.
